There is something in the rooms from the cleaning staff. My wifes noise was running the whole time we were there.

I recently stayed here for business with points (property was on "Point Break List") Check-in was very smooth and seamless as majority of IHG properties are. Although some properties will still try to provide an upgrade even when booking with points, this specific property did not. Personally, I cannot complain whatsoever, because I did not really try to get an upgrade. Moreover, it is generally hit or miss as properties are not really obligated to upgrade for stays booked via points. However, I was happy that they did offer me either a gift bag or 500 points due to my platinum elite status. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. One amenity that I really enjoyed was the indoor heated pool. That said, like many HIE properties, I really wish they would put in a hot tub. While I did not use the fitness center, I did check it out and it seemed to have well kept equipment. Housekeeping was very friendly as well. Normally, it is hard to hold conversations with housekeeping staff as they generally seem indifferent when speaking with guests. Breakfast was typical of all HIE properties as well. I really did not have time to explore the area as I was on a schedule; however, it did seem like a nice area with plenty of stores, food, and other touristy things to do. Overall, I was satisfied with the entire operation and my stay.

Very friendly staff at all levels. Thank you for the restful stay. I thank the check-in staff for recognizing my elite status before checkout so I could get the reward points. Again, the staff and service was wonderful.

Just wanted to thank all the staff for their dedicated work as our stay was fantastic. The room we had was excellent. The room was clean had all amenities we needed such as microwave and regfrigerator and the bed was very comfortable.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful and that added to the stay.
Thank you for what you do and we shall see you again.

The staff at this hotel is great.
They know their job, they make you feel good.
The continental breakfast is "free" and is a great deal.
We had a very late flight, checked-in extremely late and they allowed us a two hour extension for the check-out with no complications .... thanks a lot .... thanks for your understanding.
We definitely will return to this hotel and will definitely recommend it to others,

Desk instruction was to wait where hotels pick up. Poor direction based on signs. Accurate prompt is to wait where taxis pick up so one can follow taxi signs.
6:44 am Tuesday Dec 10, ten men in lobby and no hot breakfast. Nothing in but left out at night, cereal, English muffin. No eggs no meat no signature cinnamon roll.

They allow smoking in this hotel but on the IHG website it states no smoking. The 3rd floor is the smoking floor and if you don't smoke watch out as they will put you up there with the smokers and you and your clothes will stink as well as make you sick if you have asthma, which I do. The employees that smoke go outside and stand near the entrance and smoke and the guest have to walk through the smoke to get into the hotel...they need to make this a non-smoking hotel and do a deep clean on the smoking floor. if you don't smoke I would not stay here, I will not stay here again as long as this hotel allows smoking in hotel rooms...

I was so surprised when I arrived for my stay before the Vols were to play SC to see my name as the "Guest of the Day". i stay at a Holiday Inn Brand almost every week 2-3 nights. I have never seen this done at other properities and feel it is a great touch to let your quest know they are appreciated for the business.
The staff was very professional but personable. Thanked me for being a platinum member. When you travel every week the little special touches mean a lot.
Thank you for making my stay an enjoyable one.

I had spent a few nights travel with little time for comfortable sleep. But this room was so quiet. This hotel so peaceful. This room so comfortable. It was a combo I really took advantage of and enjoyed a full night of sleep. Would stay there again. Would suggest others give it a try.

Enjoyed my stay from check in to check out, staff was very professional and courteous they made my stay very enjoyable.
Would definatly come back, this is not my 1st stay here and will not be my last, also excellent restaurants within walking distance from hotel. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The Hotel itself was not bad. The breakfast was wonderful and the room was clean. It shows a lack of interest in guests when a hotel chooses instead of repairing the hot tub in the pool area, to fill it with wood chips and make it a planter. Also came back one evening to find a hotel staff in my room with 2 potential guests. The front desk apparently "gave her the wrong room number to show the guests". I have some problem accepting this as being ok when I had the room reserved for 3 nights and all my belongings were in the room. Nothing was bothered but just shows poor management of what could be a much better hotel. Next trip will look for a different hotel with functional amenities where I can trust the room to stay secure.

We have been staying at this HIE since 2004 when our daughter started college. Our recent stays were more business than pleasure. I find this property a convenient location but I have seen inconsistencies in the staff and the upkeep of the property. Several of the bathrooms are in disrepair or have the wrong toilet seat for the bowl size. Some of the front desk staff need more training in customer service. But overall, the staff is friendly, helpful and courteous. The breakfast staff are all outstanding in courtesy and efficiency.

Our stay at Holiday Inn Express was like being at home. All personnel exuded warm southern hospitality as if we were part of their family.
Our room was very comfortable; we slept comfortably without disturbance on a night when the motel was full.
Our breakfast was delightful. We laughed at the guests who were surprised by the pancake machine.
You'll love Alcoa's Holiday Inn Express.

The staff was wonderful! We were greeted by the manager and offered a priority club gift bag. The cleaning staff left us a note wishing us a great day each morning. The rooms were wonderfully clean and smelled fresh.
We were close to the airport yet we heard no noise at all. There were eating establishments located in the next parking lot so if we wished we did not have to drive.
We will definitely be staying here again.

No one to check me in. After 10 minutes, by this time others waiting, manager shows up and says nothing. No greeting, no apology for wait. Nothing. I tell him who I am. Doesn't recognize me as a priority member (plantium), no water or "bag" offered, no upgrade on room. Ask for a bottle of water (been in car for over an hour) and he starts questioning me - "are you a priority member, what's your number", etc. even though it is on my reservation. Just general lack of interest in taking care of me. Last night of my trip which involved two flights and hours of driving between towns and just want to have a nice welcoming stay before my flight out the next day. Not here.

I enjoyed my stay at the Knoxville Holiday Inn express. Excellent restaurants that are walking distance to hotel. The elevators seemed rather warm, but the warm reception I received at the desk upon check in and checking out was just really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel. Courteous, Clean, Location, Staff, all wonderful.

The hotel is nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I have stayed here several times and have always been satisfied. After my latest stay I arrived home and realized I left my phone charger behind on the night stand. The front desk told me it hadn't been turned in and that someone from the housekeeping staff would call me. That never happened. I assume they either threw it out or kept it. This lets me know that if I ever leave anything valuable behind I probably won't get it back. I probably won't stay at this hotel again. There are too many other choices in the same area.

Check in was a mess as nothing was set up and there was no mention of me being a platinum member. The room was old and needed some serious updating. When I turned my bed back there was hair in it! Disgusting!
