Hotel did not inform us about the maker fair taking place and that we would have to choose the fair as one of our activities that weekend at the Henry Ford and not be able to choose what we came all the way there to do. Checked into room and found old food in the fridge. Also when calling to book room looking at the packages on the Henry Ford website they said they did not have those packages. Got confirmation that we would get snacks and a camera with our room, when we arrived they did not provide us with either of those. Very unhappy with my stay. August 6, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Upcharged for king when I had standard room $ I was Upcharged for a king bed suite when I had a standard room w/o asking..... I did not ask for upgrade. I was at Woodhaven holiday inn day before and had a standard room and was upgraded for free because of my point status. Didn't not have time to complain while I was there. As a result, I probably will not stay at this location anymore. August 2, 2014

The hotel was clean and well decorated/maintained, though it was and older building and aging. I've already recommended this property to a colleague for a business stay. August 2, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by room and experience Our room was a beautiful suite with large tub, fireplace and separate den. I had problems with the ventilation system and fireplace, but did not ask for help. I might have not been doing the proper thing to turn them on and off. Other then guest noise from the patio immediately below the room, it was a comfortable, actually quite luxurious stay. My only recommendation would be a full service bar, fast food kiosk, or something for late night snacks and on property dining. July 31, 2014

She was so warm and friendly and welcoming. Pool and hot tub were very nice. DVD player in room with movies available in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again. July 31, 2014

Manager was very helpful and accommodating even though we arrived very early and were unable to check in due to the hotel being fully booked. One item though, the shower curtain could have been cleaned, it was a little smelly, though the whole room was overall very clean! July 30, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service This is an average HIE location, nothing special. The real disappointment was the front desk, poor customer service combined with poor attitude resulted in a very negative experience. Apparently the hotel suffers from inadequate housekeeping resources resulting in rooms not being ready until well past the advertised 3 pm check in time. The front desk staff made it very clear that there is no advantage to being an IHG member, as "90% of our customers are members, so there is no advantage". Very sad representation of the organization. There are several hotels in this area - would recommend shopping around. July 29, 2014

Plenty of parking , and still accessible to the airport, and local business and venues . The staff at the front desk is always attentive and efficient ! Check in time is FAST ! ( .. and BTW ... The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathrooms are huge! The bedroom is spacious as well. I've already booked to stay here again! Oooh and the staff actually are happy to help... Great job! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Allen Park Holiday Inn We use this hotel for both personnal and business styas while in the Detroit are. Great Hotel, just a few suggestions for continuoes improvements. The wife was not happy with the limited TV cahnnaels , no Hallmark, Lifetime, TVland and USA. My pet peave of all most most hotels is the temperature of the hot tub / whirlpool, yours was teped at best, shoot for 102 degrees. other then that we will be back. Staff at vdesk and breakfast was excellent and should bve commended. July 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice pool and hot tub, relaxing atmosphere The hotel had a few roof leaks, so at first impression, it was like..."not another one of these hotels"! However, the leaks had no effect on our stay. The breakfast was great. If you forget to pack something for your trip, the front desk more likely than not will have what you are missing.
