I've stayed at the Holiday Inn in Allen Park several times. This last time I stayed I couldn't believe what a what happened to this once excellent hotel. I don't know if they down graded their DISH TV package but there were only about 12 channels available. After a long day of work to go back to a hotel and literally have nothing to watch is ridiculous. When i inquired about the lack of TV channels the lady at the front desk said "that is just the way it is". Also the internet signal was very weak. Somebody was constantly smoking on my floor and I would call down to the front desk every time, each time the only answer i got was "i will take care of it", although they never did. I stayed at the hotel for 5 days and every morning it was the exact same breakfast, no change whatsoever. The time before i stayed they changed the breakfast regularly. Don't know what is going on, but will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Another small thing, when i checked in i could see all the Holiday Inn reward member gift bags. I was not given one. Thought it was rude to be staring at a whole wall of one, when i am clearly a member.

I have stayed at this particular Holiday Express Inn for several visits in the last 2 years. Of those visits, only one time did all the equipment work in the hotel. This last visit the air vent in the bathroom sounded like an airplane engine having a bad day, the heat light didn't work. Prior to this visit, the pool was not heated nor did the hot tub jets work. It would really be nice to have paid to have all the amenities working.
I don't know if I will stay there again.
