We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express a few years ago, and it was awful. Since they recently refreshed, we decided to give them another try. It was wonderful! They have done a lovely job with the refresh - the rooms as well as all of the public areas have received a serious upgrade!
When I entered the lobby, I noticed a nice fresh scent and new decor. The check-in process was very pleasant, and I was warmly welcomed. Throughout my stay, the front desk staff greeted me upon entering and leaving the lobby. The pool and spa were sparking clear and ever where I went in the hotel everything was clean and in good condition.
There are loads of restaurants in the area - everything from fast food to fine dining. There are also shops and an AMC movie theater nearby. There is a MARTA train station 5 miles away that makes getting into downtown easy.

We enjoyed our room, the pool, the breakfast area, the lobby and the business center but we found much of the front desk staff unfriendly, especially upon arrival when I was greeted with "Who are you?" rather than something more traditionally professional. A really warm welcome was expected and a very cold and snobby questions was what was received. Then, the key envelope we were given for one of our rooms had the wrong room number on it! When we went to the room it had a "Do Not Disturb" hanger on the door - so we went back to the desk to double-check. Beyond our first night, our stay was wonderful but the front desk staff continued to be very quiet and unfriendly - never greeting guests as they entered the front desk area.

If you want a good nights sleep I recommend this hotel.The staff are very friendly and act like they really appreciate your business. This hotel is close to shopping good restaurants even a couple of high end car dealerships and a Wal Mart

We arrived at this Holiday Inn Express on 3-28 late in the evening. When we walked in the door and up to the desk we were greeted with WHO ARE YOU!!! I expected a more friendly (Hello how can I help you or Good evening what can I do for you?) Also we had booked two rooms but they could only find confirmation for one. Fortunately they did have another room available. Unfortunately I did not take note of who was on duty when we checked in. On a good note, I did notice that Virginia, who staffed the breakfast area, was very friendly and did an excellent job of keeping things cleaned up and the area well stocked. Another negative is the fact that most of the equipment in the fitness area is in need of some attention. Especially the elliptical machine. The main support column is loose on the machine.
