I stayed during some bad weather. The tornado sirens went off around midnight and there was heavy hail. All the cars in the parking lot were damaged some with broken windows. The manager, Mr. Barun had gone home earlier in the day but came back to the hotel when the sirens started to insure the safety of the guest. His own vehicle sustained hail damage as a result of returning to the hotel for the safety of the guest. Mr. Barun went above the call of duty to insure the safety and satisfaction of his guest. This is the only hotel I stay at when in Amarillo. I give it two thumbs up.

The hotel and rooms are new and very nice - comfortable bed, and the decor was very high end. The pool and hot tub were great; The staff was very friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond during a really bad storm/tornado warning to make everyone comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
Only downside was no recognition for Priority Club - I usually get a bottled water or something - nothing here. Certainly not a big deal.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best Holiday Inns we have visited. I would stay here again, in a heartbeat. It's clean, stylish and very comfortable. Stay here !!
It's also close to many restaurants; very convenient.

Having completed a three week tour to the Southwest,
we found the Holiday Inn Express West in Ammarillo, Tx to be the best of all the Holiday Inns that we stayed at (12 in all).
It's nearly brand new and offers the best value that we encounter!

Easy check in and friendly staff. The happy hour is a nice addition to a long drive kind of day. Restaurants nearby made our stay easy and very comfortable. Room was nice and stocked with all the necessary items.

This was our first stay in a modern, sleek looking HI Express and it was most enjoyable. Fun to have a TV in the bathroom too! Loved the room and plan to stay here on future trips between IL and AZ.

I was more than surprised by my stay at this particular HI Express. The room was great, the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in on the road and there were televisions in the restroom. Too bad I couldn't give this more than a 5.

My husband and I checked into the Hoilday Inn Express in Amarillo West without a reservation. We were scheduled to be further along on the road than Amarillo and due to weather we were delayed--
When we saw the Holiday Inn Express sign we were delighted to say the least--tired and ready to stop for the night I went in to see if there were any rooms available. The manager was at the desk along with several other hotel employees and as I asked for a room that included both a bed and a chair or couch offered me the Presidential suite. At first I was not comfortable with a room that expensive, but when I was given the price I took the room.
WOW is all I can say--what a room any President would be happy to stay there! The room had a wet bar with wine fridge and microwave, a beautiful dining area, a large living room with a variety of sitting options, a bedroom as big as the dining area and living area, but the bathroom--OMGoodness--a huge soaking tub, separate shower, double sinks, rain head shower with side jets the bathroom was as big as some competitors rooms, this suite had it all .
After a stressful day we were able to relax, sleep soundly and have a great stay in Amarillo. The breakfast was very good lots of variety and plenty of fresh food out so no waiting. Thanks Holiday Inn Express Amarillo West--you're the best!!! There are some great Steak Houses near by too!

We had a suite and it was super nice. The bathroom was really nice and super clean! We had to call the front desk to get clean pillow cases for the hide-a-bed but they were brought up almost immediately. We booked through the 800# and were told we would recieve a $30 gift card at check in to a local resturant, however, after I mentioned it to the staff, the manager hadno knowledge of the gift card offer and quickly fixed our rates for the weekend. Thnaks again!! The only cons were that there was a sizeable gap under the door which allowed lots of light in but was quickly fixed with a towel, and there was a baseball tournament of some sort going on so the hotel was filled with young boys running everywhere and splashing loudly in the pool, but of course, this is something that the staff can not control . Other than that, our stay was plesant and the breakfast was pretty good! Really relaxing place to stay! We will definately stay here again when we go back to Amarillo!!

Great place to stay. The general theme of the property is a little modern for my tastes but still very comfortable.
Wonderful staff was enthusiastic to point out hotel amenities and places to eat.
Clean, efficient and easy to find. I would search for this property again if business/pleasure takes me to the Amarillo area.

the room was not my choice but it was one of the last ones. it was very nice and had a lot of amenities. very clean and nice. the baseball team that was in town made a lot of noise and dominated the breakfast, otherwise a good choice. we normally stay at the holoiday inn across the street from you but they were full.

We found your hotel to feel "cold" and "hospital" like. Would not check into this hotel in the future.
No towel rods in bathroom, why?
Room was like sleeping in a closet ! Had to put a comforter into the leak in the window ! Had a breeze blowing that was felt clear across the room.
New, but not good !

When I got home from my trip, I called to tell the staff I had forgotten my electric razor cord and they told me they would call me back and I have never heard back from them. If I cannot get it back, I will have to either buy a new razor or try to order a new cord. I have stayed at other hotels and left a phone charger and they kept it for me when I returned. I am returning to Amarillo at the same place on Tuesday April 23 for my work shift for Walgreens and was very disappointed not to hear from Holiday Inn as Walgreens uses this Holiday Inn quite frequently. I would still appreciate hearing from someone if they found it, as I know I left it there. I left my number with the front desk.

We stopped for 1 night returning home to CO from TX. The hotel is fairly new and modern. The beds were comfortable and an additional tv in the bathroom was something different. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the lack of an individual meat product during breakfast. There was sausage in the gravy but not everyone likes gravy. But overall a great hotel.

WOW, what a beautiful hotel, brand new. We have traveled across the country and have stayed in a variety of Holidays Inns and this property has to be my favorite one!! The room was so comfy and beautifully decorated, there was even a TV in the bathroom, my husband loved that!!
We were greeted so warmly by the staff they even had appetizers in the lobby. The young lady recommended the best restaurant for dinner and we loved it.
I also used the fitness room which was very nice.
Breakfast was great and the coffee was delicious!!!
I would loved to stay for a week!!!

I started staying here in the fall of 2012 about once per month. The rooms have great beds and are very clean. There is a small flat screen TV in the bathroom as well kas a mini fringe and microwave in the rooms. They have snacks and beer and wine in the evening complimentary. This is the best Holiday Inn Express you will ever stay in.

Very clean room. Would like to have breakfast service begin at 6 AM. Also, if the doors to other rooms could shut with less noise and other guests did not run in the hallway around midnight the stay would have been perfect.

What a fantastic place to get some overnight rest on our trip north. We were exhausted and the room was clean, quiet and very suitable. If we're ever in Amarillo again we will definitely stay here.

We stayed at this hotel on our way to the Grand Canyon. It is conveniently located on the west side of Amarillo. Easy access to variety of restaurants. We left early so did not eat breakfast at the hotel. They upgraded us when we arrived. The room was very comfortable. We liked it so much that we stay there again on our way back from the Grand Canyon.

The Holiday Inn Express West in Amarillo is a wonderful place to stay in a quiet location. The hotel is located close to great restaurants and shopping as well as close to hospitals and doctors. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to meet any needs you might have. I highly recommend this hotel!
