We had requested in our online reservation that our room be placed away from noise--i.e. ice machines, elevators, etc. However, upon check in we were placed in a room next to the housekeeping utility closet/supply room. We requested a room change, but the young lady at the front desk stated that she had no other place to put us. She was completely unapologetic for the oversight. We were very disappointed with the lack of attention to detail in regard to our reservation.
As expected, the next morning was not restful. Housekeeping of course began cleaning and the noise in the supply room woke us up and we were unable to fall back asleep.
The room itself was clean, spacious, and very nice. We were happy with the overall quality of the room and hotel, but are very disappointed with the quality of the staff. If the staff quality improves, we would be more inclined to stay at this hotel if we are in Amarillo again.

As always, my recent stay in Amarillo was made even more pleasant by the superior staff and facilities at this location. Thank you, and I hope to visit again soon.

Very comfortable bed, clean and pleasant room. Needed the rest after ten hours on the road. The most important and appreciated aspect of our stay was the service provided to us by Brooke; we had special needs and she most efficiently and graciously met them.

The first hotel staff I met with was great. We didn't get the exact rooms we had reserved, but she didn't hesitate to make it right for our group. I really appreciated that she took the initiative to take care of my group immediately. This is how customer service works at its best.

When I checked in, I asked for a room on the west side of the hotel so that I wouldn't have to listen to the traffic on the Interstate on the east side. The receptionist gave me a room and said that it was as quiet as it was going to get. The room turned out to be on the east side facing the interstate. Then when I took my shower the next morning, I ran out of hot water and finished up taking an ice cold shower.

ac/heat was somewhat noisy, ran fulltime, when heat switched off it then blew cold air until the heat came back on.
There was no fresh fruit or sausage, otherwise breakfast was fine, cinnamon rolls were very good.
Senior discount was welcomed without question.
