Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dark water The staff was friendly and the room was clean but the tap water was dark yellow and had a metallic smell. We went down to the pool and it was not heated. The hot tub and pool are separated by a very short wall and when anyone would get into the pool or the hot tub water would transfer from one into the other. This made the hot tub water very, very cold. I went back to my room to take a hot bath and the tap water was darker than tea and had a strong metallic odor. I've never even seen water that color in other countries and its color and metallic smell were very disconcerting. May 13, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect for our family Great waffle breakfast, eggs, bacon/sausage, biscuits and gravy. Kids ate well, enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Room was clean, spacious, staff was very friendly, free paper, and they provided cookies in the evening to eat. Very pleased with our stay. Even let us check in early when the room wasn't quite ready but we needed a place to put our things. April 9, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Never had issues in the past I have never had an issue in the past with checking in early with this hotel or any Holiday Inn Express for that matter. I always put a note on my reservation saying so as well. I drove 800 miles straight shot to get here and when I arrived I found that the hotel did not have a room available for me and did not even get my not. (In the past they ALWAYS have. I waited for 6 HOURS to get into a room and the only accomodation the mananger could make for me was giving me and my pregnant wife water. Okay, the waiting is in the past now. Here comes check in time (a room became available) I always use a friends and family discount, as I have a friend who works for the corporation. In the past I have never been asked for proof of this. I would just check in and give them a voucher. At this time they asked for proof and asked which hotel they worked at so they could verify. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE IN THE PAST. I felt like I was being called a liar by the staff (namely the newer manager, who failed to accomodate me and my wife) I have always been pleased with my stays here but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean the room was nice but I come to this hotel for the experience as well. Will I stay at a Holiday Inn again, I am not sure... March 30, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Iced Cold / Dry Heat I often stay at his property and while it isn't the fanciest place, I think it is a decent value. However, for the first night/day of the stay, there was no hot water. I called at 3:30AM (because I was on eastern standard time). I was told they would try to find another room. Then I was told there were no rooms with hot water and they would try to credit us. Few additions, the idea of a credit was never addressed. And there was actually a hot water issue the month before when we stayed at the hotel. I know you can't control everything - but this was really not handled well and appears to be a recurring issue. The other comment is that the heat in this hotel is consistently painfully all or nothing and super dry. I travel with a large group monthly and we have inquired about humidifiers, ways to better regulate temporature, etc. and have had no luck. February 20, 2013
