I explained to her that I was tired of Holiday Inn Express employees being so rude , I validated her busy day but I feel it takes as much time to be nice as it does to be rude. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by clean and comfortable, staff was lacking Overall the room was clean and I was able to rest. However the breakfast food was terrible, there were very few choices and the "hot breakfast" items were barely at room temperature, and it was 8 am, not like i got there right when the breakfast room opened. The front desk staff need some training in the hospitality industry. They looked like they could care less if anyone showed up and were more interested in reading books and whatever they were looking at online then in doing their job well. The first person got me my key efficiently and barely looked at me beyond that. As an IHG member I had to ask if she was going to give me a bag or extra points, they weren't offered as they are at every other location I've been to. Again when I asked she barely looked up from whatever she was reading and just said "oh, yea, which one do you want." marked it on some piece of paper and then went back to reading, no apology, no smile and have a good stay, nothing, just looking back down and dismissing me from her presence. The gal, (sorry did not get her name) who checked us in was fantastic and deserves recognition. You do not come across many people with a natural customer service touch like she has. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Barely passed Second TV in the suite did not work, was there 3 days and 2 nights and they still could not get it to work. I bring my own bath soap and the maids threw it out both mornings - they even threw away my welcome pouch my key cards came in so I did not have the internet code anymore. They failed to recognize my standing in the rewards club. January 26, 2015
