I would like to thank the staff of the holiday inn express in Annapolis Even before we arrived the staff was extremely helpful helping us find dining locations that would suit our group (thank you Gus!....great ideas!) Upon arrival we were met with very positive and upbeat staff who made us feel at home Marianne,Melanie,Mariah in the front office as well as Kee Ree at breakfast all went above and beyond The rooms were clean and very nicely appointed Location was prime! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, staff, and value ReeRee and Jai at the front desk were very accommodation with food preparation and providing information on new shopping areas. Proximity to restaurants and upscale shops can't be beat. You can walk to these within minutes. Also, just a short, easy drive into Annapolis center, i.e., Naval Academy, etc. We have stayed at other area hotels often, but this will be our new destination for the future. February 18, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stay was Very Good, but . . . Stay was Very Good. The Staff was Very Good. But the extra firmness of the bed makes the stay very non-relaxing, uncomfortable, even more tiring than normal. The beds are just too firm. You cannot get comfortable for very long. I tossed and turned ALL night long. Go back to the mattresses used back about five years ago. December 22, 2012

But when she made her problem known to the Front Desk Manager the problem was immediately resolved with the full backing of the GM for the Hotel. As a Platinum member I travel all over, and rarely has a problem been so quickly resolved. Thank you. December 6, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by one night's inconvenience Overall, our stay was nice - the hotel was in the perfect location for our visit to DC - near Metro and our room overlooked the Potomac - the restaurant on the 17th floor was good and the vew exceptional. The only negative was the power outage during prime time TV watching - the outage continued until early morning hours. Then, at 7:00am, we were awakened by a fire alarm - apparently, there was a problem in the kitchen, causing a lot of smoke - but, the alarm continued approx 1/2 hour, prompting us to begin the descent from 12th floor to lobby. This was difficult, considering my husband's health. Fortunately, the alarm stopped when we had reached about the 7th floor and we returned to our rooms. Nothing was said about the inconveniences when we checked out - it was as if nothing had happened. If those incidences had not occurred, it would have been almost perfect. December 1, 2012

The hotel is located within walking distance of stores and restaurants that made up for the price. I would stay there again for the convenience. There was a nice exercise room. There was also an office with a computer with printer to print airline boarding passes. November 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, price, service and comfort. We are "snowbirds", and were visiting a relative in Riva, Md. This was our second stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We live six months in Virginia and then six months in Florida. The only real notiicable "problem area" is the entrance and exit route getting into and out of the Hotel. Since we stayed for 6 days, we did get used to the road network. All in all a very nice place to stay and feel like you are at home. November 17, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Annapolis Riva Road Stay Holiday Inn is always my favorite place to stay. The biggest disappointment was my breakfast - the breakfast staff person did not show up and the poor desk help was frantically running back and forth from the desk to the breakfast area - I'm thinking she was trying to cover the two jobs. There was no juice prepared - just water came out of the spigots. Does this happen often? November 10, 2012
