I hadn't stayed in a Holiday Inn Express for several years and was quite surprised that this one was so terrific in almost every way. New, up-to-date, and beautiful bathrooms, modern climate control and decor, and terrific sound and light barriers.
I admire their claims of environmental concerns for linens, heat, etc., but wish they'd be consequent and serve breakfast on paper, provide wooden utensils and encourage waste separation with follow-up recycling. Maybe someday.
In the meantime HI Annapolis is a terrific, conveniently located, well-maintained facility.
They still had my Priority Club points!

We normally stay at another brand hotels but the wife doesn't like the fact they often put the coffee maker and glasses in the bathroom/sink. So we gave Holiday Inn Express a try. When we arrived in the main entrance I was surprised of the modern décor. The front desk was friendly. Coffee, hot chocolate, and hot teas are available 24 hours a day in the front lobby, which was super. Free breakfast in the morning too. The bacon was so-so, but the pancake maker was cool, juices, milk, yogurt were good too. We informed the front desk a light bulb in the bathroom blew and the bathroom door hinge was loose, making it difficult to fix. It was repaired that day. I will have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the quality received for the rate we paid. I hope there is a Holiday Inn Express the next city we visit. Thank you so much. I can't forget the house keeping. They did a great job making the beds and cleaning the bathrooms. Thank you.

When staying here you want to make sure you aquaint yourself with the location. If you are not familiar with Annapolis, getting into and out of this property is a challange!
Other than that, it's a great spot to stay.

Easy to find, close in to Annapolis and specifically not too far from the Naval Academy, which is why we visit so frequently. I love the Towne Square just a block from the hotel which makes it nice for mealtimes--there are plenty of places to find great food! Quiet, comfortable and well-priced we will continue to stay here when in Annapolis.

I was very impressed by the friendly staff and the high customer service. The room was very nice, it was nice that the carpet was still a bit humid from the steam cleaning. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be back as a guest.

Wow! What a great place to stay! The location is perfect -- close to the Interstate and only a short walk to the Towne Center. I was able to find everything I needed -- groceries, a very cool diner nearby with great food, and local entertainment. And the hotel staff were all fantastic. I will definitely stay there whenever I am in or near Annapolis and Baltimore.

I would not recommend, bathroom design was too small, poorly arranged not well thought out. Breakfast was poor quality and terrible for 2 of the four days I stayed. The room was not cleaned one day until after I returned late in the afternoon.

Lovely!
Staff (including front desk, housekeeping) were friendly, well informed and helpful.
The room was clean and very comfortable. It had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Everything looked new and well cared for.
The included hot breakfast buffet had a variety of cold fresh and hot selections to choose from. The breakfast area was clean and inviting.
The hotel is in walking distance from Riva Towne Center where there are several restaurants and other eateries. There are also many shops at this center. The hotel and shopping centers look new and well kept.
I would gladly stay here again if in the area.
Thank you for a very welcoming stay.

Spotless, comfortable, quiet, friendly, and great location. I moved to this motel after a very bad experience in a Holiday Inn in another town, and it was a very pleasant change. I will definitely stay at this motel again when I am in the Baltimore area.

In addition to being a fine hotel, and very conveniently located for a great price, the staff was helpful and super honest. I had left and was on my way to NY when I realized that I had left my $$$ in the room (about 75 dollars). I returned to the hotel in the hopes that it wd not become a huge confrontation, and the cleaning staff had found the money, and gave it back to me in its entirety. That was the ultimate test for me!!!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and would not hesitate to return! The staff were some of the friendliest we had ever encountered. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. we had a great stay.

It's always great at this Holiday inn express...the staff is great and the location is fantastic. ...close to everything you could possibly need. All the other hotels are not walking distance to whole foods and great restaurants.

I would like to thank the staff of the holiday inn express in Annapolis
Even before we arrived the staff was extremely helpful helping us find dining locations that would suit our group (thank you Gus!....great ideas!)
Upon arrival we were met with very positive and upbeat staff who made us feel at home
Marianne,Melanie,Mariah in the front office as well as Kee Ree at breakfast all went above and beyond
The rooms were clean and very nicely appointed
Location was prime!

ReeRee and Jai at the front desk were very accommodation with food preparation and providing information on new shopping areas. Proximity to restaurants and upscale shops can't be beat. You can walk to these within minutes. Also, just a short, easy drive into Annapolis center, i.e., Naval Academy, etc. We have stayed at other area hotels often, but this will be our new destination for the future.

The hotel location, staff and service more than meet my needs for business travel. I've stayed in several other Maryland hotels and this is the best by far. Plenty to do and see within walking distance.

Stay was Very Good. The Staff was Very Good. But the extra firmness of the bed makes the stay very non-relaxing, uncomfortable, even more tiring than normal. The beds are just too firm. You cannot get comfortable for very long. I tossed and turned ALL night long.
Go back to the mattresses used back about five years ago.

Kudos – to the Management. I am sure you get enough complaints, but this time its good news. My wife actually had an issue/problem with a front desk agent. But when she made her problem known to the Front Desk Manager the problem was immediately resolved with the full backing of the GM for the Hotel. As a Platinum member I travel all over, and rarely has a problem been so quickly resolved.

this stay was just right for our needs - very comfortable and easy drive into downtown Annapolis. Decent restaurants nearby, except avoid the Diner!

Overall, our stay was nice - the hotel was in the perfect location for our visit to DC - near Metro and our room overlooked the Potomac - the restaurant on the 17th floor was good and the vew exceptional. The only negative was the power outage during prime time TV watching - the outage continued until early morning hours. Then, at 7:00am, we were awakened by a fire alarm - apparently, there was a problem in the kitchen, causing a lot of smoke - but, the alarm continued approx 1/2 hour, prompting us to begin the descent from 12th floor to lobby. This was difficult, considering my husband's health. Fortunately, the alarm stopped when we had reached about the 7th floor and we returned to our rooms. Nothing was said about the inconveniences when we checked out - it was as if nothing had happened. If those incidences had not occurred, it would have been almost perfect.

The bathroom was small and overall the room was over priced. However, the staff was friendly and concerned about my satisfaction. The hotel is located within walking distance of stores and restaurants that made up for the price. I would stay there again for the convenience.
There was a nice exercise room. There was also an office with a computer with printer to print airline boarding passes.

We are "snowbirds", and were visiting a relative in Riva, Md. This was our second stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We live six months in Virginia and then six months in Florida. The only real notiicable "problem area" is the entrance and exit route getting into and out of the Hotel. Since we stayed for 6 days, we did get used to the road network. All in all a very nice place to stay and feel like you are at home.

We've stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses. This was the most expensive, no mini refrig, very dated. Certainly not what we expected for the cost.

Holiday Inn is always my favorite place to stay. The biggest disappointment was my breakfast - the breakfast staff person did not show up and the poor desk help was frantically running back and forth from the desk to the breakfast area - I'm thinking she was trying to cover the two jobs. There was no juice prepared - just water came out of the spigots. Does this happen often?

Missed cleaning our room one day. We were gone all day and came home to not made up room.
Most of hotel staff less than friendly. Felt like we were inconveniencing them.
