We really liked the hotel. The people were great, and it is within walking distance of Whole Foods where there are many great things to eat that are already prepared. If you like shopping, this is a great location, right next to the new, up-scale shops in Annapolis. The only drawback is a difficult entry and exit due to barriers dividing lanes in the road. They can be overcome by driving around the block.

I expected the accomadations to be a bit more modern and up to date. It seemed more like a motel than a hotel. It appears to need a facelift. The TV was difficult to operate. The entrance to the hotel is awkward, not easy to negotiate. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. .it was close to where I needed to be.

My first impression of Holiday inn was great parking lot was free of debris, lawn and parking lot was well maintained. At the front desk i was welcomed with a warm smile by Mariah. Check in was fast and i was in my room in no time. Breakfast was on time, fresh and coffee never ran out.Myra also welcomed everyone with a good morning. The staff here is very accommodating when you need any assistance. Jennifer and Dawn helped with letting my crew and I know of some good restaurants near by. The cleaning staff also did a tremendous job in making our rooms clean.

Our stay in Annapolis was for Saturday and Sunday night. Upon entering our room, my husband immediately noticed an odor that was masked by a deodorizer. We were unable to get any channels on our television, so called the front desk (we had only been in the room five minutes). She immediately came and after many tries with the main server, she was able to get our television working. This took her about a half hour to repair. We asked her if this was a smoking room and her reply was "if you do not see an ashtray, then it is not a smoking room." She should have offered us another room and, in hindsight, we should have insisted upon it, but we took her at her word.
On Sunday, we went to a wedding and upon our return in the evening, we found that housekeeping had not been in our room to make our bed, tidy up and bring clean towels. If all the twenty years of traveling and many, many of them have been at Holiday Inn Express hotels, I have NEVER experienced this lack of service. My husband immediately called the front desk and told them housekeeping had not serviced our room and requested towels. There was a whirlpool tub in our room and we wanted to use it!!! We NEVER did receive the towels Sunday night. On Sunday morning after breakfast, my husband personally asked the front person clerk for towels, which we were given.
When we returned home from our trip, I had to wash/dry clean ALL of our clothes from the smoky odor from the so-called NON-SMOKING ROOM in Annapolis.
Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed with our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Annapolis.

The first 2 times we checked in we were given keys to 2 rooms and where there was other peoples luggage & belongings inside. This happened twice!
How does this happen?
This check in process was lengthy and lasted nearly 1 hour!
Your reservation & check in system is unsafe and needs to scrutinized.
Finally we asked the maid to find us a room that was actually vacant and gave the desk host the room number who finally gave us keys to our room....
I won't be staying at this location ever again, I am sure you understand.

We loved our stay at the HI Express in Annapolis, MD. It was close to all of our destinations and very quiet. We were able to relax after our godson's graduation in DC and after his party in Annapolis.

I hadn't stayed in a Holiday Inn Express for several years and was quite surprised that this one was so terrific in almost every way. New, up-to-date, and beautiful bathrooms, modern climate control and decor, and terrific sound and light barriers.
I admire their claims of environmental concerns for linens, heat, etc., but wish they'd be consequent and serve breakfast on paper, provide wooden utensils and encourage waste separation with follow-up recycling. Maybe someday.
In the meantime HI Annapolis is a terrific, conveniently located, well-maintained facility.
They still had my Priority Club points!

We normally stay at another brand hotels but the wife doesn't like the fact they often put the coffee maker and glasses in the bathroom/sink. So we gave Holiday Inn Express a try. When we arrived in the main entrance I was surprised of the modern décor. The front desk was friendly. Coffee, hot chocolate, and hot teas are available 24 hours a day in the front lobby, which was super. Free breakfast in the morning too. The bacon was so-so, but the pancake maker was cool, juices, milk, yogurt were good too. We informed the front desk a light bulb in the bathroom blew and the bathroom door hinge was loose, making it difficult to fix. It was repaired that day. I will have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the quality received for the rate we paid. I hope there is a Holiday Inn Express the next city we visit. Thank you so much. I can't forget the house keeping. They did a great job making the beds and cleaning the bathrooms. Thank you.

When staying here you want to make sure you aquaint yourself with the location. If you are not familiar with Annapolis, getting into and out of this property is a challange!
Other than that, it's a great spot to stay.

Easy to find, close in to Annapolis and specifically not too far from the Naval Academy, which is why we visit so frequently. I love the Towne Square just a block from the hotel which makes it nice for mealtimes--there are plenty of places to find great food! Quiet, comfortable and well-priced we will continue to stay here when in Annapolis.

I was very impressed by the friendly staff and the high customer service. The room was very nice, it was nice that the carpet was still a bit humid from the steam cleaning. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be back as a guest.

Wow! What a great place to stay! The location is perfect -- close to the Interstate and only a short walk to the Towne Center. I was able to find everything I needed -- groceries, a very cool diner nearby with great food, and local entertainment. And the hotel staff were all fantastic. I will definitely stay there whenever I am in or near Annapolis and Baltimore.

I would not recommend, bathroom design was too small, poorly arranged not well thought out. Breakfast was poor quality and terrible for 2 of the four days I stayed. The room was not cleaned one day until after I returned late in the afternoon.

Staff (including front desk, housekeeping) were friendly, well informed and helpful.
The room was clean and very comfortable. It had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Everything looked new and well cared for.
The included hot breakfast buffet had a variety of cold fresh and hot selections to choose from. The breakfast area was clean and inviting.
The hotel is in walking distance from Riva Towne Center where there are several restaurants and other eateries. There are also many shops at this center. The hotel and shopping centers look new and well kept.
I would gladly stay here again if in the area.
Thank you for a very welcoming stay.

Spotless, comfortable, quiet, friendly, and great location. I moved to this motel after a very bad experience in a Holiday Inn in another town, and it was a very pleasant change. I will definitely stay at this motel again when I am in the Baltimore area.

In addition to being a fine hotel, and very conveniently located for a great price, the staff was helpful and super honest. I had left and was on my way to NY when I realized that I had left my $$$ in the room (about 75 dollars). I returned to the hotel in the hopes that it wd not become a huge confrontation, and the cleaning staff had found the money, and gave it back to me in its entirety. That was the ultimate test for me!!!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and would not hesitate to return! The staff were some of the friendliest we had ever encountered. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. we had a great stay.

I would like to thank the staff of the holiday inn express in Annapolis
Even before we arrived the staff was extremely helpful helping us find dining locations that would suit our group (thank you Gus!....great ideas!)
Upon arrival we were met with very positive and upbeat staff who made us feel at home
Marianne,Melanie,Mariah in the front office as well as Kee Ree at breakfast all went above and beyond
The rooms were clean and very nicely appointed
Location was prime!

ReeRee and Jai at the front desk were very accommodation with food preparation and providing information on new shopping areas. Proximity to restaurants and upscale shops can't be beat. You can walk to these within minutes. Also, just a short, easy drive into Annapolis center, i.e., Naval Academy, etc. We have stayed at other area hotels often, but this will be our new destination for the future.

The hotel location, staff and service more than meet my needs for business travel. I've stayed in several other Maryland hotels and this is the best by far. Plenty to do and see within walking distance.

Stay was Very Good. The Staff was Very Good. But the extra firmness of the bed makes the stay very non-relaxing, uncomfortable, even more tiring than normal. The beds are just too firm. You cannot get comfortable for very long. I tossed and turned ALL night long.
Go back to the mattresses used back about five years ago.
