Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room, helpful friendly staff This was my first time in Arcadia. The room was very clean and was ready when I got there. The a/c cooled the room very well and it was stocked with lots of clean towels instead of the meager one or two you get in other places. The bed was quite comfortable and was also clean and neatly made each day. The staff was friendly, courteous and offered help with directions and assistance in booking future dates. I will definitely come back (I am already booked for 3 more trips) and I would recommend this motel to my friends. The proximity of a 24-hour Wal-mart is useful and a Wendy's and Chilii's are within walking distance. PS. The chocolate chip cookies are awesome,! July 14, 2014

The hotel is always clean, good breakfast and staff is friendly. Having a Dog it is hard to find a hotel that's truly Dog friendly well this one is. Will be back again. July 8, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Clean and very Pet friendly I have to say I was very impressed with my stay. This was the 1st time I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and plan to go back next month. The rooms were clean and the guest services were very friendly, plus attentive. This has to be the best Pet Friendly hotel I have stayed at. Plenty of grassy area to potty your dogs and quiet rooms. The hotel is clean and modern, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, good lighting, good sound insulation, good breakfasts, everything was in working order. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Restfull My stayed was just 1 day but my 15 year old twin daughters and I had a wonderful time that we plan on making it, at least once a month, a weekend vacation time and just enjoy what the hotel has to offer. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and Clean The hotel sits in the center of town adjacent to a Walmart if you forget anything. Also, there's a Chilis restaurant in one corner of the property which convenience and is the only major brand restaurant in town. Room are spacious with large bathrooms. Don't expect to get all the extra stuff that I've seen in other HIE. Parking is well lit, lobby is spacious and decor is what I have come to expect HIE. The breakfast is ok but I had better selections at other hotels of the same brand. June 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bad front desk manager contacted me and took up for the woman at the front desk where i had my problems.i told the manager that the woman insulted me and the manager try to put the blame on something else.the fact is the woman at the front desk was very rude telling me several times that my room was free and i did not have to pay,when i told her i bought points for $350.00 dollors and i earn points so i did pay for my room.it did not have to do with what the manager was saying.she did not take the time to talk to me when she was there in the morning.i call holiday inn as soon as i got into my room.the woman at the front desk was the only person working at the hotel period and she is new to the area.she was rude to the gentlemen who check in before me.the manager is to be blame also.thisis the 1st time i have a problem with the front desk ever. The only reason I gave 'good' for room cleanliness was because it was a 'smoking' room, we do not smoke but it was the only room available with a king bed the weekend we stayed there. As regards staff and service - we received super service from the lovely ladies who cleaned our room to the young lady on the reception desk on our arrival. Esperanza #hope I have spelt your name correctly#, what a treasure you are and I hope the hotel management realize what an asset you are to the hotel! We arrived early and you arranged for the super lady to ensure that our room was made available to us earlier than expected. Many thanks to both of you. As regards 'value', yes, we thought it rather expensive having stayed in many Holiday Inns in the US and the UK. However, having said that, no doubt we will stay there again. Barbara , UK. Yes, I would certainly stay here again if I were in the area. We stayed here a total of three nights. If you need to go to a WalMart, you can walk to it from here, as well as Chili's restaurant. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean But Musty Smelling The price is high, but unless you want to drive back & forth from Port Charlotte, there isn't much choice. We had reservations for one night in a non smoking room, and had arrived early (2 :15 pm) at the hotel. The staff member on the desk was on a personal call and was not very friendly. She informed us the room was not ready and that we would have to return at check in/3 pm, but that the staff would call us if the room was ready early. Of course we did not receive a call. When we returned to check in at 4 pm, a new staff member was on the desk, she was very professional. We were given our room, and a courtesy offer of a late check out (we're rewards members) the following morning which we accepted. When we got up to the room, the air conditioner had not been on long enough to cool the room off. The room was very clean but musty smelling from previous smoking. The breakfast offerings were alright, about what you would expect. I didn't use the fitness room or pool but both looked clean. January 7, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff & service was wonderful Room was clean but the air conditioning was less then comfortable. I had to switch rooms at 1:30am due to poor circulation of the a/c unit. Actually room felt damp. Moved to another room on same floor (4th) and better but not by much. No dampness but the room really did not get cold. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Expecially after my car was hit in your parking lot. Overpriced for what I received as far as the room went. October 14, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced for the Service A lot went wrong at this hotel. 1. The blankets they provide are so skimping you can barely keep warm. 2. I asked for an additional blanket and was told they have nothing else to give me. 3. I discovered the blow dryer was broken in the morning when I got out of shower. 4. I called to ask them to bring me up a blow dryer. I was told they had no one on staff to come to my room nor did they have an extra blow dryer. Consequently, I arrived at my event with wet hair and looking lousy. 5. The water pressure in the showers is almost non-existent. You have to stay in the shower longer to rinse off, so how they think they are saving water is beyond me. 6. The front desk people can't give directions. One of them was directing me to go west when she meant east. When I called her on it, she said she's bad with directions. Geez, I think one of the qualifications to hire front desk help would be "are you good at giving directions?" 7. The hotel subscribes to Direct TV. There was no TV for 2 hours because it was raining. Direct TV can't get a signal through rain clouds. So, I sat there watching the paint dry for two hours. Can't you switch to U-Verse or something? And I paid top price for these accommodations? Note that ice machines are only located on floors 1 and 4 which is a slight inconvenience but rooms are comfortable and clean. Wireless internet is spotty on the upper floors and satellite tv is greatly affected by weather. Definately would stay again. August 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very hot inside motel AC was not working prpoperly. I got in around 5:30 and it took till 11 before the room was cool. Halls were very hot also. Very over priced for the area. Most motels in area 20-30 dollars less per night. Priority members only recieved a bottle of water. August 27, 2013
