I was greeted both by Jen Caldwell and Jen McCracken as on duty managers for the Holiday Inn in Ashland, Ohio. Both ladies are truly professional and made me feel at home! What a great stay! Thank you both!

cost of a room is excessive for the area...but choices are limited(quality)...but south of Ashland gets much cheaper...may stay at HIE south on 71 next time

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by patag72 Comfortable bed and lots of pillows.
The room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. The room was pleasantly decorated. The bathroom could have been cleaner. There were long hairs left in the tub and on the floor.
There was a very nice food selection for breakfast. Glad to see that fresh fruit and yogurt were offered.

This location is overall great. It's clean, well decorated, comfortable. Just don't ask the front desk staff anything that might be different for them to handle than the usual check-in and check-out.

We pulled in after nine having been on the road over 5 hours and the young woman at the counter immediately made us feel welcome guests - and not just customers. Our 'hostess' immediately located my rewards number and made sure I had the internet code for the room and a paper waiting when I woke up.
The room was clean and fresh, the beds firm and comfortable and, best of all, the window actually opened. It was a nice evening and we were able to enjoy the sweet smell of summer air and do without the sound of the air-conditioner.
I am a big fan of the Holiday Inn Express bathroom set-up with the sink outside the toilet/tub room. My only caveat is that the tub/shower floor got a bit slippery from my shampoo. On my wish list - but admittedly never found in a hotel room - is some kind of adjustable mirror on the wall behind the main mirror so I could see what is happening on the back of my hair or outfit. (Vanity thy name is woman?)
Breakfast was in a sunny, well lit room with some rather nice options including lots of coffee and some fresh fruit along with the usual fare. Something new to me was the egg and cheese omelet. It was actually good and both my husband and I were really happy to have a protein source for breakfast along with the nice assortment of cereals and breads.
