Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good hotel in Astoria We enjoyed our one night stay. The Holiday Inn Express Astoria is right below the Astoria Bridge and the trolley stops right behind the hotel. Staff was excellent. Room was big and very clean. Wi-Fi worked fine. We liked the Bridge Bistro restaurant only a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast buffet was about average. But the view of the bridge out the windows was spectacular. Price was good for the area. Check in and check out was a breeze. We would stay here again if our travels take us to Astoria, OR. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just passing through We were doing a unplanned trip down the 101. It was late and we stopped in Astoria looking for a room. The desk staff said there was one room left. We enjoyed our stay, though we didn't get to enjoy it for long because we arrived closer to midnight. If we have to stay in Astoria again, this would be our first choice. July 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall good experience The only practical improvement that I could see being made at that property, would be in the lack of genuine "friendliness" of a couple of the staff members there. They need to remember that anyone visiting the Astoria Holiday Inn Express, has driven a long ways before arriving there. And, while my overall visit there was good, nothing can sour a Hotel experience like a staff member that expects perfect behavior / prompt answers from a guest that is checking in. (after a long drive) A full hotel does not mean that the staff doesn't have to worry about how they treat the customer on that particular day. July 2, 2015

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the view was Fantastic!! They provided the best continental breakfast that I've ever had at a hotel. We also got to rent bikes for free from the hotel and rode up and down the water front. We all had a great time!! June 30, 2015
