Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just passing through Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Seems very new and clean although has been open a few years we were told. Animals are not allowed and the building is non-smoking, and this makes a big difference to the cleanliness of the property. Room walls are either a bit thin or we were next to a very noisy family. Either way we could hear a lot of noise from tv and kids next door, which was annoying, since we were exhausted from travelling and just wanted peace and quiet. However, we were able to sleep ok. Nearby evening restaurant options appeared limited and seem to close quite early, something to bear in mind if you're travelling and likely to arrive late. Receptionist initially wanted to charge us extra for a king room rather than a twin, but eventually realised we were IHG Reward members and so waived fee. Also offered us complimentary bottled water, for which we were very grateful. Also helpful in suggesting somewhere for dinner and printing out directions, but we had to go straight there as they were closing soon. Breakfast was ok although things were very slow at being replenished when they ran out. No plates for a while! Overall a nice clean hotel, we would return if passing through another time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Warm Cookies and A Good Night's Sleep We were met by a friendly check in woman who was just about to make cookies. We each had a warm cookie and then after minimal TV both slept like logs until it was time for breakfast. The coffee was great and the omelets were excellent. Everything was like new and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. November 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Why stay in Paso Robles? Traveled to Paso Robles to taste wine. Ended up staying in Atascadero. The Holiday Inn Express room was one of the nicest we have stayed in. The staff was exceptional; they made us feel important. The exercise room was clean and adequate. Breakfast was standard, but the staff was so friendly. Look forward to coming back. October 30, 2014
