Location excellent re: proximity to OU. That is what initially drew us to this Holiday Inn Express - having gotten there, and stayed overnight, we will definitely be repeat visitors! Extremely friendly staff and hospitable welcome, a clean and orderly room were most important - the pillows and bed were soooo comfy. Breakfast in the a.m was also outstanding! Vaccuuming in the hallways is the only service that we thought could be improved. Again, we are going back - don't take our room!

What a nice hotel! The staff was just amazing. Nice, friendly and would bend over backwards to make your stay nice.

The Holiday Inn Express in Athens is excellent. It starts with very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Lobby is huge, with plenty of tables to visit with friends, and a comfy sofa in front of a large TV.
Stephen, at the front desk, is incredibly helpful. When I needed a new TV remote, he personally delivered a new one to make sure it worked. Julie, in group sales, is also terrific and made it really easy to set up a group reservation at great rates.
Complimentary breakfast is better than most with a wide variety of hot/cold items. Coffee, tea, cocoa available 24/7.
Rooms are good sized, with comfortable bedding, functional desk, free wi-fi which works well, and large bathrooms that are well-appointed.
Conveniently located right off I-33 near the beautiful Ohio U campus. Walking distance from an Applebee's restaurant, and less than 5 min drive to many other shops/restaurants along State Street, the main drag.

I have to say, this property is amazing with regards to customer service- they have a well trained staff. Employees were going above and beyond to meet the needs of the guests- from management to custodial. It is a refreshing change, in these times.
Even though there was a snag in bookings, it was quickly addressed and compensated for. Overall, a much enjoyed stay- Thank you!!

This Holiday Inn Express is very conveniently located for us in Athens. Plenty of free parking, and quite a few restaurants within walking distance. Hot tub and pool were very nice and those rolls for breakfast are sometimes the deciding factor as to where we stay.

A little disappointed with where the room was. We were between the baseball players rooms and it was rather noisy and it was a room above the pool. Should have been put in a better location. I was not greeted as a Priority Club member which was the first. It is really no big deal but always have been. I know they were busy so maybe that is why. We still had a nice visit with our family.

We were across the hall from the pool and all of the foot traffic outside of our room was very noisy. What is the benefit of being a Priority Club member if you're going to give me one of the worst rooms in the building?
