this was my first stay at a holiday inn express after family and friends highly recommended the chain. Atfer a 20-25 minute check in, there was a small group of 6-7 checking in, but two people at the desk, we finally drug suitcases up to our room and i put the key in and all I saw was a mans legs on the bed. I quietly backed out, shut the door and then a woman came to the door. i showed her my key, looked at the room number, and shrugged my shoulders. back down to the desk for another room. finally....okay room, kinda old, a/c did not work!!
breakfast the next morning lasted until 930am. got there at 9am, nothing left. i asked, she said when it;s gone, it's gone....Checked my bank statement, i was "pre approved" at two different times in one day. back down to the desk, after computers coming back up, she said it should not have been done. getting dressed for my formal event, the a/c would not cool down. the young lady at the desk was friendly..... friends say this is unusual poor service at a holiday inn express, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Hotels are temporary places during travel. My travel purpose was very tedious and emotional. Being greeted by friendly staff both coming and going made my trip a lot less anxious.
