Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wonderful experience We chose this one mainly because I have stayed with Holiday Inn in the past and have always been pleased. We were traveling back to Texas, and weren't sure how far we would get, so we didn't make a reservation. This one was right off the interstate, so it was very convenient. The grounds were very nice, and the parking lot was well lit. The lady at the front desk was very nice, and helpful. She told us about the breakfast, the internet, and other amenities. Check in was very quick and easy. Our room was very clean, and so was the bathroom. We got settled in, and relaxed a little before we went to bed. The bed was huge, and very comfortable. Loved the sheets and duvet were fabulous. Slept like a baby. Got up the next morning, and went to breakfast. It was great, a wonderful assortment of both hot and cold items. When we got ready to leave, we discovered our battery was dead in our truck. The associate at the front desk was very helpful in finding another employee who had jumper cables and helped us get our truck started. We will stay here again if we are back in this area. I have always been pleased when staying at Holiday Inn. April 18, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Never again. I stayed at this hotel on 2 separate trips for 5 days on each trip. Against my better judgement I picked this hotel over the one across the street. First of all, the hotel is a 100% smoke free hotel. At least that is what signs said. However, on several occasions I saw the front desk girl smoking just outside the front door. The internet service is horrible. It is even worse if it rains. If you are traveling on business and need a good internet connection, you will have to go across the street to the McDonalds to work. The rooms were clean. However, the bathroom had a weird odor that I could not determine if it was mildew or just not clean. I will have to be back in the area later in the year and I will definately be staying at the Inn across the street. February 7, 2013

She fulfilled the hospitality promise by sending out for us toothbrushes since the hotel was out of stock. The room was clean and spacious. There were many choices of food and drink for breakfast and it was very well presented. January 18, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Clogged sink and stained sheets I am a loyal Holiday Inn patron. Platinum Priority Club member. Have stayed in several across the United States. This one has to be the most disappointing. The clerk was unconcerned about checking me in. Had to stand there waiting while she finished something on her cellular phone. Did not recognize me as a Priority Club member at all. Room keys (there were 2) wouldn't work initially, so had to come back down to the desk and have rekeyed. She did come back up with me to make sure they worked this time. Thank you. Sheets on one of the beds appeared to have dark 'splash' stains of some sort on the pillow edge and the edge of the blankets. The splash pattern made me think it happened while the bed was already made. The bathroom sink was clogged and wouldn't drain. I didn't even try the breakfast. January 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My new Home away from Home. The Holiday Inn Express in Atmore, Alabama will always be considered my home away from home. My family and I visited this location on three separate occasions within the last 45 days due to the illness of a close relative who ultimately passed away. We found the entire staff to be kind, professional and friendly. This is something I can only assume is a quality that the management staff ingrains and rewards the staff for displaying. The rooms are clean and comfortable which was a welcome after a long day visiting the hospital. The only slight challenge was with the Room's Air Conditioning. The AC seems to run constantly and at times it was difficult to keep the room cool enough or warm enough. Not sure if the AC filter needed to be replaced but it irritated my nasal passage on during one stay and my wife had a similar experience during our next visit. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable environment with a staff that is knowledgeable and professional. December 10, 2012
