My wife and I just returned from a 2-week vacation in Europe and stayed at 8 different Holiday Inn expresses. This hotel was definitely one of our favorites.
I think what made it so nice was the super helpful and friendly front desk staff. Neither of us speak any German, so it was super helpful to have staff members who sort of doubled as tour guides.
Marco and Beatrice (I hope that I remembered their names correctly) were outstanding! We wanted to find a place we could walk to for dinner, but weren't sure where to go. Beatrice picked up the phone and called a local restaurant (where they didn't speak English we found out) and found out their hours for us. We would have never been able to do that not knowing the language.
Marco was very helpful when we asked about the need for toll passes (called vignettes) in Austria and Switzerland. To say nothing of the fact that he was helpful just answering questions in general about the area.
We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

I usually get up bit early and take a walk. Just behind the hotel, there is walkway and I could enjoy that waking. It is also so close to the shopping center and Movie theater . It is very convenient place.

our relatives loved the stay in your house. The location is excellent to explore the downtown. It is quiet in the back rooms and the beds are very comfortable. The price is much agreeable.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the shower was fabulous. We always try to find a HIE when we travel and this property was exceptional. We would stay again if we are in the area.

I got to this hotel because of immediate vicinity to my work, and walking distance to the city center.
I returned for the great staff. Augsburg is not that big, so there are other hotels which fit the location requirements. But the genuine care and instant response of the multilingual staff are the key differentiators.
Oh, and I love Nutella for breakfast!

Modern facilities, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms make this my favorite hotel in Bavaria. The staff is always extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet is absolutely terrific. Weekend rates are very reasonable. The City Galerie mall is located just around the corner. Ask for a room away from the main road to avoid street noise. You'll pay an extra 8 euro fee for parking (no free parking close to the hotel), but that's the norm in Europe. Augsburg is close to Munich and just an hour's drive to Garmisch & the Alps - a great place to stay and take a quiet break!

As always, HI Express provides most value for money. The Augsburg Hotel is fairly new, hence modern interior, good conditions and a good breakfast. In addition, the hotel is very well located, next to City Galerie (Shopping Mall) and close to the city center (in walking distance).
