This is the second of the two most worst stays I have had with this chain. I have never been more insulted and made to feel like a criminal. My company maintains Platinum status yearly and stays well over 60 times a year with this chain however this staff failed to acknowledge my loyalty. I do not recommend this location when visiting this area. The other location that gave me the same treatment was in Oxford, AL.

I can't tell you how disappointed I was in the room I stayed in at the Holiday Inn Express in Augusta, GA. When I hung my clothes in the closet on hangers the closet would not close. There was no fold down rack to put my suitcase on. The biggest disappointment I had was that there was no microwave or frig. When I called down to the desk to request another room I was informed that none of the rooms had them. My husband was due to have surgery at the VA hospital and I expected to stay in that room for up to two weeks. I thank God that they called off his surgery till a later date. We are priority club members and have been for many years but upon our return to Augusta for my husbands surgery I will not be staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

I have stayed here twice now. The location is good, the hotel was clean and comfortable. Was recognized for being a priority member. Breakfast was okay. Needed to be restocked more frequently with many working guests on weekdays.

I recently stayed at this property on a return trip from vacation to break up a long drive. I wished after staying here that I would have kept on driving or pulled off the road earlier.
The bath tub shower combo had soap with body hair left from the previous guest. There were cobwebs on the light above the desk and my wife had to clean the coffee maker out before it could be used. There was a set of 3 towels and wash cloths for a 4 person reservation. We also expected a fridge and a microwave but were told that we must have been mistaken.
The breakfast was mediocre. Breakfast selection was normal, just heated or not heated properly. The famous cinnamon rolls were cold and the eggs were from cold to warm, the pancake machine was out of batter but was later refilled. Finding a clean table was difficult and settled for one that wasn't as dirty as the rest.
The staff besides the front desk personnel were seemed aloof and not real friendly. I passed by the maid at least 4 times without a hello.
The cleanliness issues made me wonder what else wasn't clean, so I checked the beds to make sure I wasn't getting used sheets, but it also made me worry about picking up some crazy foot fungus or issue while I was taking a shower. The tub filled up deep enough while I was taking a shower to cover my feet and soak them in who knows what.
Besides cleanliness the attention to detail was the other weakness. A set of 3 towels for a 4 person reservation is an unnecessary nuisance, and added to a cleanliness issue makes for an overall lousy hotel experience. Then after these mood killers, a lukewarm breakfast doesn't do anything besides add to it.
I didn't feel like I was getting much for being a rewards club member and don't remember any recognition for it. Oh well. I'm irritated that I wasted my reward night here, but I for sure won't waste any more points or cash to ever stay here again. Not sure if I would stay here again for free.
The pros of the stay: Front desk girl Kelly was friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and roomy and there is free parking.
I put most of this information on the guest comment card with my name, number and address, but never heard from anyone at the hotel. Don't expect anything this time either, besides a generic reply. I wouldn't mind my points back, but kind of doubt that will happen, but maybe they'll get their act together and somebody else will have a better stay.

This was a great hotel to stay at. i had to stay for 2 weeks for work and enjoyed everything about my stay. Great location near the highway and lots of great restuarants.

All in all it was great... Rooms were comfortable and staff very nice. I just wish that the hot tub and some of the exercise equipment wasn't down during the stay....

was acussed of smoking when i am not a smoker. i work with people that smoke and it was on my clothes. they charged me a smoking fee and will not return the the money. so my advice is not to be around people that smoke because if you do you will be charged.

From checkin until in my room was a poor experience. I was down graded in my room, price was not as quoted on-line, lame excuse about averages, way over paid for the room. Was not recognized as a priority club member, staff was very put offish.
Room had used bar of soap in shower, hair in shower and commode. There was mucus wiped on wall at desk and dried there. NO OTHER ROOMS AVAILABLE.
Rachel took down my complaints, but nothing was done not even mentioned my entire stay.
On check out I had to go down to desk for a receipt, supposidly my HR pre-paid??? I make my reservations and never is my reservation pre-paid. Lame excuses and poor quality all around. definetly will re-think my stays in Augusta!!

We held our daughter's 10th birthday sleepover at the Augusta North location. We had a spacious suite, 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. There was plenty of room for the girls to have fun and play. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive and even checked on us several times to see if we needed anything! The girls had a fabulous time in the indoor swimming pool and hot tub. The Jacuzzi tub in the suite was a big hit as well. Overall, our stay was fantastic!

Great location - this hotel is near dozens of restaurants and shops and all the local car dealers (we stayed due to a car breakdown).
Lobby/breakfast area is open and bright. Rooms were clean and new looking. Staff was very friendly. Had almost all of the niceties you expect for Holiday Inn Express - great bedding, good bathroom supplies, amazing cinnamon rolls. Did not have refrigerator or microwave - not a big deal for this stay but I usually like to have these. Reasonably priced compared to some HIE properties in busier areas.
Only real complaint was that breakfast did not have meat available the day we stayed. Usually HIE supplies bacon or sausage - our day it was just the sausage gravy.

Great stay! We were staying with a youth soccer team and had a wonerful experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, check-in was easy, the rooms and common areas were very clean, and we loved Veracruz, the Mexican Restaurant next door. I would recommend this hotel for families, teams like ours, and business travelers as well.

OUR STAY AT THIS FACILITY WAS AN UPLIFTING EXPERIENCE, THE LADIES THAT CHECKED US IN WAS WELL TRAINED AND IT SHOWED, WE WERE GREETED WITH A CHEERFUL ATTITUDE AND WITH A SMILE, WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE OUR STAY ENJOYABLE AND PLEASANT.
PERSONELL THAT GREAT ARE HARD TO FIND AND SHOULD BE APPRECIATED FOR WHAT THEY MEAN TO THIS FACILITY.
