Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Management Decisions Affect Customer Satisfaction Bedding and towels were wet (and, oh btw, they weren't just a little damp#. Complaint resulted in lobby clerk saying "it makes it easier to fold the linens". Can you believe it? Also, was not allowed to go below 76 on the A/C. Also, bad ant situation #covering table/desk and extending into the bathroom# was not addressed by management at all once I complained. No effort was made to move me to a room that was at least the same type/size. I believe that this is an issue with management. Bad cost-cutting decisions are affecting the look and feel of the hotel #i.e., snack selection looked like something out of a garage sale#, the grumpiness and lack of maturity of the help #and, this business of using security guards as your primary employees at night really doesn't work well because all they can do is stare at you when you come up to the counter to ask for something#, and customer satisfaction. I was extremely inconvenienced during this trip, and I will NEVER EVER stay at this Holiday Inn Express again. July 19, 2014

For those who are looking within the price range, is probably the best option in town. - If you depend or have to have internet in your room, you better tell the front desk that and ensure it prior "settle down" other wise, you might end with out that service. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel-somewhat noisy Highlights: The hotel must have been recently remodeled. Our room looked new. The room was clean, the air worked properly and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lowpoints: There was a terrible amount of noise from midnight to 2 am with folks taking their party to the hallway. The hotel is in a not-so-great part of town,so it would be wise to park in gated parking lot. They did try to charge me for my free rewards night, but it looks like we got that all worked out ok. I slept better at this property than any other so far this year. There is a lot of dining options within walking distance and you are right on the river, not to mention minutes from Augusta, South Carolina and the options that provides as well. The staff is exceptional and the area/parking lot is gated and that is an added benefit. July 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent hotel The hotel was quiet, clean and very comfortable. The only exception was the location of the hotel. It stated the location was in the historic district. Maybe the city of Augusta is trying to clean up the area around the hotel but when you don't want to walk around the area. Their are bars, pawn shops and showgirl joints all around the hotel. once you get into the parking lot, you feel a lot safer. The staff was outstanding as well as the room. July 7, 2014

I loved the location walking to restaurants, walking to entertainment, great staff, upgraded hotel, and just the place to be if you're staying in Augusta!!! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great place for great price We were able to book a last minute hotel stay at a very affordable price. The accommodations were nice. No complaints with what the property offered - there was a large family reunion gathering at the hotel so it wasn't unusual to hear lots of loud yelling up and down the hallways outside our door at all hours of the day. Would have been best to keep all those family reunion members on a different floor than other guests. June 25, 2014
