It would have been nice to know that the internal exercise room and the business center were closed. I would have picked another IHG property. I picked this one for its location to my meetings. This hotel is centrally located to all our shopping destinations. This hotel was under construction but we didn't mind. The room was clean, modern and comfortable! Well worth the price! Very inexpensive! It is possible to have a great hotel room without spending a lot! I will stay again and I would highly recomend this hotel! December 2, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Nice location, ok for the price We normally stay at this hotel when we go to Denver because of the great location and friendliness of staff. They are doing some remodeling, which is really needed, but more ungrades are still needed. Had luke warm water for shower, scratchy towels and mattress was to hard. Hopefully with the remodeling comes some upgrades. Did not have these problems any of the other times we have stayed there November 28, 2013

Good news they were renovating, bad news the web site did not mention this when I made my reservation. The place was a disaster! Good news the front desk moved me to a floor with "less construction" and upgraded my room. Still not good with the mess and run down appearance, I think the site should have said somthing when I booked the room on line, and a discounted rate should have been charged for the mess, noise, rundown place. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I was very disappointed. First, I was not aware this hotel was being remodeled so this was a bit of a shock when I arrived. The construction noise wasn't terrible but, I thought the staff could have done a much better job of managing the construction dust and debris. My room was reasonably clean but, the hallways and lobby were dusty and dirty. In addition, the cable TV didn't work, I struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature in my room and, on the morning of my checkout, was surprised to discover I didn't have hot water. Overall, this was the worst hotel stay I've had in a very long time. This location was not the closest to my destination, I chose to stay here based on brand loyalty. I won't make that mistake again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Service won me over... I recently stayed on business for a period of 2 weeks. During this time the location was under construction and obviously going through an upgrade. Breakfast was served at 6:00 am prompt, however my meetings required me to be on location at 6:00 am. I asked the front desk clerk about the food service, and inquired about coffee only since services did not begin until 6:00 am. Josh asked me about my morning and day, then promptly provided me with food and coffee to take with me. It's not often that someone takes personal concern in my travels. Josh did not hesitate and as I travel often to this location, I will be glad to stay at this hotel. The cleaning staff was helpful and also concerned if my room was comfortable. A great experience. Even during the renovations you can't even tell that they are renovating because things are still so peaceful and nice. Comfy beds housekeeping makes sure you dont go without & will ask you if you need any service or anything everyday.. Also a wonderful staff.. I highly recommend the Aurora,Co Holiday Inn Express locations theres nothing I dislike I love everything about it.. November 13, 2013

My wife and I had stay in Denver with my young son, so I again choose Holiday Inn. When we arrived I was greeted with construction that no one informed me of. I asked for the complimentary room upgrade, which I almost always get, and was informed that a room with two double beds isn't subject to the upgrade. I know that there were rooms available, there were only a handful of cars in the parking lot when I left at 5:15 the next morning. Staff was not friendly at all. For the first time ever I was extremely dissatisfied with an IHG hotel. If this happens again I will honestly seek out another rewards program. October 25, 2013

I was incorrectly charged for my room, even after I pointed out the problem to the front desk staff. Now I am in the middle of trying to get a credit returned to my credit card. The quality of the recent renovation is quite poor, but at least the bed and the bedding contribute to a good night's sleep. Lobby and common areas are badly dated and in need of a complete overhaul. Breakfast was quite good, and the morning breakfast staff very helpful. Laundry facilties are very dingy and limited. October 25, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dissapointed again cable tv quit working told room was remodeled but just had new carpet stains in ceiling stains on wallpaper burn holes in lounge chair had to ask for an alarm clock did not get wake up call,was told it was because bedside phone did not work was overcharged on bill,did not get corrected untill I called back The only reason I keep going back is because of the gym next door. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Flood Our stay with you was during the recent flooding in Colorado. Our room had a leak and the carpet around the A/C unit was soaked. There was extensive renovations going on at the hotel during our stay that did not interfere with our stay. I am hoping the renovations can solve the leaking problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful., breakfast was great, and the room was adequate size. The mildew stains in the tile and caulking around the tub should also be addressed with the renovations at this time. The extensive road work did not interfere with our stay, but was a bit daunting to navigate. We had flooding rains and hail during our stay, but were comfortable and felt safe at the hotel. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Under renovation I stayed at this hotel twice in one week. The first time was great, the second time not so much. When I got to my room, I noticed that there was no clock in the room, so I asked for one. I then had trouble with the remote for the TV. Batteries needed to be replaced. The air conditioner was not working properly. I had to lower it to 62 degrees in order for the room to be cool enough. Finally, in the evening I happened to look up at the ceiling and there were 3 distinct stains on the ceiling. Not thrilled. The staff was great, but the accommodations not so much. September 10, 2013

Here are my concerns: + The bathroom had no A/C vent and was steamy. + My wife is in a wheelchair and she barely got around the bed. +The A/C was a bit noisy and hard to adjust the temperature. +The hotel did not have a selection of restaurants to choose from. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT STAFF AND HOTEL During my stay at the Holiday Inn Express Denver Aurora Medical Center the staff was very attentive. A light bulb went out in my room so I called the front desk and they fixed it within 15 minutes of me telling them. My room was very clean and comfortable and I loved the pillows. I have two small children and they enjoyed the pancakes and chocolate milk at breakfast. I will defnitly be staying here again. I have already recommended this property to several of my friends and family. September 6, 2013

The shower controls look like an old bathroom sink which makes the controls touchy and prone to shockingly cold or hot spells. Other than that it was decent and the staff was friendly. There were several things in disrepair which didn't make the room uninhabitable but was bothersome; cracked tiles, stained/chipped tub, inoperable sink stopper (duct tape was used for repair and must've come loose).
