Staff was good. Facility was tired and warn. Mattress was worn out. Visibly sagging. Uncomfortable. This is a motel -- most people come here to sleep. The condition of the bedding is a key measure of quality for lodging. Mold in the bathroom, tub surround and door frame. Cleanliness is a reasonable guest expectation and again a key measure of quality for lodging. Again, staff was good -- management needs to take action to refresh facility and replace worn out furniture and bedding.

When in Austin on business and even on occasion for pleasure I chose this facility. I am always greeted as a priority member, upgraded on occasion, and my room is always clean, quite and a great experience. I have never encountered rude staff, and always are accommodating with information.

The only issue I had was the mattress was extremely firm. Unfortunately I have back issues so it was uncomfortable for me, but my husband slept like a baby! The staff at the hotel was wonderful and the hotel was extremely clean and welcoming. What a great breakfast we had too! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. I would even go back and stay again.... even with my bad back!

I was very disappointed with this hotel. It is not up to the Holiday Inn Express standards. My room was noisy because it was on the first floor close to the parking lot and elevator. The carpet in the room was old and stained. The furniture was old and dumpy. The room smelled heavily of some type of perfume or fragrance. The shower was horrible because it was very difficult to regulate the temperature of the water. So it was either freezing cold or too hot - nothing in-between.
The air conditioner was old and not working properly. And the room was not too clean.
The hotel needs major updating. I would not recommend this "Holi-dump" to anyone. STAY AWAY!

There was no internet service during my stay. I had to go to a Starbucks to download and study my paperwork for the test I took next day! I had never experienced anything like this before so I would never stay at this place ever again!

My wife and I brought the kids to Austin for a car show. I had booked early and paid for a suite for us to have enough room...a non smoking room.
We arrived, checked in, and proceeded to our room. As the elevator doors opened the over powering smell of cigarette smoke hit us. It was just as strong all the way to our room. Luckily, the smell was not nearly as pronounced within, Could not really smell it, but the hint was there.
Upon entering the room, we noticed there was no dresser, chest of drawers, or any other type of storage for folded clothing, Strange, as I have stayed all over the country and the world and have never encountered a hotel, motel, bed and breakfast, or other nightly stay establishment without a folded clothing storage cabinet of some sort.
The kids (3 and 5) went into the bathroom and came out saying it stank. Well, they were right. IT was as if a very wet and smelly dog had taken refuge in our bathroom the night before.
I called and went down to the receptionist and began to ask if there was another room. No.
They explained there is not dresser because there is a fireplace. That is not really a great idea for a place people would unpack their clothing to stay for a restful night or more.
The hotel did spray some aromatic cover up for the hallway and the cleaning crew came in from off duty to mop the floor and completely sanitize the bathroom.
Overall, the stay was comfortable, the room was loud, the stench of wet dog was taken care of....I wont stay there again, though.

We were asleep in our room, some time after midnight, when the door to our room opened and the light came on. My wife sat up and said,"who's there!" and the intruders backed out.
When we contacted the front desk, the man on duty said, "Hey, it's not my fault, it's the computer's" and started laughing, This man had just ruined one set of guests' sleep and embarrassed another set, and he was trying to laugh it off.
We double locked the door, and left as early as possible the next morning, never to return

Worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed. It is loud as it is next to the highway. Good luck non smokers you plan on sleeping. Pardon me staff while you wrap up your conversation while I just stand at the front desk. I do not want to interrupt! (Twice) . The carpet on the 2nd floor is gross. There was barely any water in pool so i guess no swimming that day of anyone. The hotel has a motel feel. It is poorly maintained and should be closed.

I had reserved 2 rooms, and when I got there, it showed that they had charged $40 more than what the online agreement had stated. They said that it was an 'additional person' charge, even though there were less people than what I had originally booked for. I told the manager, and she would do nothing about it. After spending about 2 hours arguing with her, I called priority club and they refunded me the $40. Its pretty sad when the manager can do nothing about the price when I show them an email clearly stating what I agreed to and the number of people shown on the reservation. Due to this ridiculous service, I will never return to this hotel again.

This trip was my first to Austin, TX since moving to the state in October. I had a great experience at check in and was signed up for the rewards membership. The room was much more spacious than expected and the staff did great. There was a moment when I thought things were going to go less than well because when I arrived home I realized that I had forgotten an article of clothing that was 1) rather expensive, and 2) I had JUST purchased it and the trip was my first time wearing it. When I called the next day I was told that they didn't have it in lost and found and that housekeeping didn't have it either. I was understandably miffed and, since it was Saturday, I relegated myself to having to wait until Monday to talk with a manager. Happily though, Leslie went in to work that day and made a point to call me back. As it turns out the young man at the desk had been incorrect because Leslie was able to determine that her head of housekeeping (whom she called on her day off# had, in fact, found what I left and after a little bit of phone tag between Leslie and myself they mailed it back to me. So, in short, the staff were wonderful and they graciously dealt with me when I was in a less than happy mood #always a challenge). Thanks again!

Everything was great from check-in to check-out. Fresh fruit, ice cold lemonade & water, and fresh baked cookies near the check-in counter were a perfect welcome after our long drive. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay there again when in Austin.

I have been a Priority Customer for a long time. I am especially found of this Hotel. It's clean and the beds are very comfortable. This staff was very personable and very helpful. This our third time my wife and I have stayed here for business. We are planning our next visit again and we look forward to our second home away from home.

I have stayed in many, many Holiday Inns and this by far was my best experience yet! The folks at the front desk (Jordan & Johnny) went way above the call of duty to make me feel at home and special. For me personally, check-in tells you eveything about the hotel and staff and how well you'll be treated. This hotel is the BEST!!!

A great stay except for 2 things. The hot water took 20 minutes to warm up enough to wash up or shower,
Also the housekeeping staff would not perform maid service after 1pm. We went our entire stay of 4 nights without having our room cleaned. This was unacceptable particularly as we were
in town to attend our daughter's wedding.

Stayed here a couple days on business/leisure.
It's very conveniently located to highways and a short drive to downtown/6th street/shopping etc.
The beds were comfortable, the front desk person (I forgot his name) when I arrived was extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was good and the hotel overall was a good choice.
I'm also a smoker and usually the smoking rooms smell pretty stale, but this one did not. Maybe it's because I was able to open the window all the way (although it didn't have a screen), but I wasn't worried about that.
Anyhow, it was good hotel, good location and I was satisfied!

I recently stayed at your facility on the last week of NOV. I have to admit I was a little worried from reading the reviews. All I can say is that those people could not be please at all. I had a great time. The only thing I complain about was the location. Kind of difficult to get to but not a big deal. I slept like a baby. The area did not seem back. Do like the one way in and out. The building looked sharp. The staff was freindly and breakfast was good. In all, I was happy and hope to stay again sometime. I have stayed at some places were I did feel a little un-easy. Not here. Keep up the good work.

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel. Clean hotel, nice and friendly staff, free hot breakfast large selection, complimentary coffee, tea, hot choc in reception/breakfast area all day and evening. Spacious bedrooms, my king room had a sitting area with armchair, footstool and full size desk and chair with computer connections. Only 10 min drive to the center of Austin, even in busy traffic 30 mins max. Why pay a fortune to stay in the city center & parking charges, when you can stay here, and if you want, get a taxi??
Great hotel, would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

It is a very congestive area. If you miss turning in to hotel you have to cross over hwy and go down and then back. Front desk clerk was nice and helpful. Overall was OK

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for a business trip. When we checked in we was greeted with an front desk clerk that was cold as ice. Our room wasn't what we asked for, there is an difference between a rm with double beds and a rm with a king size bed. ( I'm glad we are man and wife ) The lamp by the tv didn't work at all; I changed the light bulb from one of the working lamps and that wasn't the problem. The floor was filthy,I took a shower and walk on the carpet around the rm and my feet where black when I went to put my socks on my feet. The ice machine on the 4th floor wasn't working so I had to go to the 3rd floor to get ice. Then when we checked out; the lady behind the desk was as cold as ice also.

Staff greet guests with such genuine hospitality and warmth that you're really glad to be there. Front desk staf and the Manager were very helpful and accommodating. They should give trainings on how to make gets feel welcome and valued. Top notch.

This was my second time to stay at your establishment and like the first, I found check in to be a little slower then i prefer but the young man working the front desk made up for it with a good attitude and was appoligetic about the delay. I was happy to find that this stay was as quiet as the last time. I never heard the other guests while in the room. Im sure I will be seeing you guys again. Thank you
