Despite the fact that the room was "smoke - free" the halls and rooms were very smoky. We were travelling with a person with asthma and the level of second hand smoke was an issue.

I usually end up staying at this location and probably will again. It is convenient, clean, and safe, The staff is friendly, the pool is nice, hotel is in excellent condition. The cost for me is getting to be a little high. The bed also seemed a bit uncomfortable.

Comfortable room.Still has great shower. Front desk staff is always friendly & helpful. Missed the pancake machine at breakfast. Hope it comes back.

I travel to the area often and have tried other properties and with out a doubt this property has them beat hands down. From the staff when checking in, comfortable bed, breakfast choices and location.

I really needed a good rest, I asked front desk if they could give me a room at the back of the hotel since it's located on an highway and the front is really noisy. This request was fulfilled to my satisfaction and tremendously helped me having a good sleep and enjoy my stay.

I am in town on a company trip for 4 total weeks and refused to book my final 3 weeks here after staying in this hotel for my first week of travel.
I have documented every issue that I had while there for 5 days.
1st, there was an issue with my company processing the payment and when i arrived at almost midnight from traveling all day, Jen was not sympathedic or seemed to care whatsoever about my situation.
Once handled with my corporate office, I offered an apology to her where I was completely dismissed and was treated very rudly.
Everyday after that I was never greeted coming in from work. I felt unwelcome and poorly treated.
The internet & phones went down for almost 4 hours while I was there and to be able to get work done, I had to go to a nearby Dunkin Doughnuts and use their Wifi.
The pool was closed on a Friday night.
My neighbors directly across from me where so loud that I had to contact the front desk who told me they would handle it but never did.
So I had to get out of bed, put on clothes and go out into the hallway myself to ask the people to either close their door and quiet down.
I am even a Holiday Inn Rewards member and couldn't believe the service that I received here.

Nice place, good value. Our rooms were 2 queen beds and it was very large. It was a great value over all for the amount of space we got for the dollar.
The only negative I had was I had no idea the laundry rooms closed at 11:00 p.m. I got some quarters from the front desk at 10:45 p.m. They did not tell me that the rooms closed at 11:00. when I went back to throw my stuff in the dryer, my key card would not open the door. I went down the the front desk attendant told me she forgot to tell me the door automatically locks at 11:00 and I would not be able to get in until 6:00 a.m. So I woke up at 6:00 a.m. and the door was still locked. There were no signs on the doors there that listed what time the laundry room closed.
Other than that, my stay was excellent.

The room was hot and humid when I entered it. I adjusted the climate control to 72 degrees, but the unit took 20 minutes to respond. I called the front desk for assistance. He told me that the Heating and Air Conditioning is controlled by the motion sensors in the room. So if I moved around, the air conditioning would kick on. Sure enough, it did, and the room cooled off. But when I went to sleep, and stopped moving. And when I got ready in the bathroom (where the sensor couldn't detect my movements) the room would warm up again dramatically. Ridiculous.

I booked within one hour of the stay on a Holiday Weekend and found a room. A little pricey, but the room was well worth it. I had my daughter and her 2 children and they wanted to go swimming and the pool closed at 11pm. I went to bed and slept like a baby. The bathroom was awesome (as my granddaughter would say). Decorated beautifully.
There is nothing bad to say about this hotel, with the exception of the yellow caution tape one one side of the entrance, but other than that, this is a place I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was located near where I would be working. Past reviewers are correct about the traffic and the amount of red lights in the area. The stay was very comfortable, the amenities (pool, wifi, parking, etc.) are above average, and the breakfast was good. Would recommend to other business travelers to the area.

It is not a bad hotel. At least they open the breakfast early enough for working people to grab a bite. The breakfast room is small and you can only see the TV from 3 tables. Someone from the hotel staff usually occupied one of those tables to send text messages. Not a problem if you don't like to watch the news in the morning. I had a room on the back side so I don't know how noisy the Rt. 1-9 traffic is on the traffic side.The walls and ceilings allow noise to pass so don't expect a quiet room. I was working in Linden so I had to drive past the hotel and make a u-turn to access the parking lot. The best parking is on the end of the hotel where they keep the door locked and they didn't salt the ice on that end either. Keep in mind this area has more red lights per mile than any place on Earth and the roads are full of Jersey drivers so it behooves you to find a hotel as close as possible to your work.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to e everyone. Even though it is located on the highway, our room was quiet and comfortable. Staff was excellent!

This hotel is ok and has great amenities such as a pool, workout facility and hot tub. It is located on a very noisy, busy highway and you can hear the traffic outside 24 hrs p/day. If you are working nights or late afternoon, be prepared to clean your own room and even change your own sheets. Front desk help were very nice and accommodating but seemed to have a communication problem with the service staff. The hotel is old but they have tried to remodel. The T.V. was great and the bed was comfortable. They have a good restaurant and bar about 150 yds down the street that has good food and is very convenient if you do not want to look for a restaurant. The price was a little high for the area and being a Holiday Inn Express. In defense of the Hotel, they were very booked up due to emergency workers from Hurricane Sandy.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and had no problems. on my recent stay the cleaning staff knocked on the door several times stating I was the last room and she needed to get in. I was annoyed because we had attended and affair the prior night and wanted to get some rest. And it was not even noon. Other than that my stay was fine. And I will stay there again.

Usually don't sleep well 1st night in new bed. Slept well. Didn't use pillows, a bit firm for me.Shower/water pressure great. Breakfast area nice, food choices good. Very accessible location for my purposes.

Overall it was great if I had to complain about anything it would be the lack of parking space and the automatic temperature setting overriding my desired settings if the room doesn't detect movement (ie person in the room). Woke up and had to reset the temperature to my setting again. Staff was excellent.

I Travel for work in the Retail world and this was very close to 2 large malls in the area and easy to get in and out! The rooms were clean and comfortable for a great price.

Everything was good from the staff to the breakfast the next morning. The only thing is that it is a bit difficult to navigate the area based on the one way traffic on that side of the road.

I always enjoy my stay at the Woodbridge location. They always upgrade my room when available. The property is well kept as well as the rooms. I always feel comfortable when staying at this location. I just wish it was close to every location I need to travel too!!

This place is located right on US Rte 1. I have stayed at the hotel several times. It can only be accessed from the northbound lanes, so if you are headed south you will need to make a U-Turn to come northbound, there is a barrier between the northbound and southbound lanes. The parking lot for this property is very small, but surprisingly I've never had trouble getting a parking space. You can easily access the NJ Turnpike, Route 1, Route 9, I-287 or the Garden State Parkway from this location.
I find the staff here to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well-maintained and the breakfast is the usual Holiday Inn Express breakfast buffet. Although this hotel sits pretty close to the road, I have never had a problem with traffic noise. If you want to be sure you won't hear traffic noise ask for a room on a high floor at facing the back of the hotel. These rooms overlook a residential neighborhood with little traffic.
If you are looking a good, yet inexpensive, place to stay in the Woodbridge-Edison-Linden area this is your place.
