With Rt83 just 50 yards from our window, we didn't hear a sound from outside. While I don't know how many other rooms were occupied around us, we didn't hear too much in our room, and we were able to sleep in before checking out. December 14, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Both happy and sad When we checked in at the front desk, the two ladies were awesome. Our room was clean as the rest of the hotel. Once in our room we notice that there was only one ottoman (luggage rack) I called to have another one brought up. "We don't have luggage racks." I was told. I had to ask again, I have never stayed anywhere there weren’t spare luggage racks. “Don’t you have an ottoman in your room?” I was asked impatiently. . Not the Point. I want another one. “Yes” I said. “but we have two large suit cases to stow. In a very small room. Can you send up another ottoman?” I asked. The Lady said. “I will send housekeeping up.” It didn’t answer my question, still that was the end of that. The House keeping head came up. A pretty lady in a head scarf. She asked politely. “You need something?” I said. “Yes, I could use another Luggage rack. “She looked and me and said “No, We do not have luggage racks.” The blank look. I love that. “Do you not have an Ottoman?” She asked. I smiled. “Yes I do, we need another one for my buddy.” Which she answered “No, there are no more.” At this point my buddy another Platinum elite member comes around the corner. He dislikes the No word. “You mean to tell me in the whole hotel there is not another ottoman or luggage rack? She stared at us a minute, obviously debating whether she could find one. Then with an exasperated sigh, she said. “I will check.” She did not seem so happy. Lo and behold in about 20 minutes she found one. David at the front desk was very helpful at night with stamps, directions and suggestion as were the two front desk ladies. I cannot stress this enough. The morning of the 1st day. Breakfast. The short breakfast lady who manned the buffet would walk right through guests, forcing them to walk around her. While making sure the breakfast area was stocked. She usually maintain a face of malcontent and unhappiness. I went to get some eggs and she walked right to me and if I did not move she would have ran into me. No excuse me, smile or apology. I tested my theory and sure enough she did it again. Finally I asked her name and after that she was very polite and respectful. She should have started that way. As of the 2nd Night: There was a strange odor/smell in the hallway on the 2nd floor when you got off the elevator. A sick mixture of BO vs cat towards our room it faded. Day2 Breakfast, my favorite was the no shirt tattoo guy eating at the buffet. After watching him reach over the bread and seeing his armpit hair, we decided to eat somewhere else. My buddy made a comment to the front desk worker who just laughed it off. My friend was like “No, I am serious, isn’t that unsanitary?” Too which the front desk person just stared at him helpless. I like the hotel despite these incidents. Besides being located right next to the Juvie Center. I do not know if I would stay again. I probably would. People seem to forget what customer service, civility and politeness are. The management needs to address these matters with their staff. December 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional front desk staff, loved the converted building Super friendly staff accommodating and appreciate the shuttle which made a special trip for us. Room was exactly what I have come to expect out of a higher end IHG property as a Platinum member with 120+ nights this year. Maintaining a lot of the old building accouterments was a really cool touch. The old style mail chutes and copper patina entrance doors were a classy touch. December 2, 2014
