From the minute we entered the building to when we left we really enjoyed our stay in the HIE Baltimore Downtown. All the staff were very polite and helpful. They even supplied a courtesy mini bus down to the harbour area. We walked back to the hotel from the harbour after 9pm at night which was only around a 15 minute walk and felt safe at all times.
Would be very happy to stay at this hotel again should we revisit Baltimore in the future

Staff was friendly and attentive. Clean rooms.Parking is very limited and was somewhat of an issue.

Let me first say that the Hotel was clean, the room nice, and the staff was fine. My complaint is more about a couple issues I had. As a Platinum member who stays at least 50 nights a year I find it a bit offensive to have to $100 hold for incidentals put on my card when I arrived. This might seem trivial, but I travel a lot and if every property did this my card would be maxed out all the time. I've never had an incidental charge since beginning with IHG. When I checked out my business card was then processed with the wrong expiration date twice (I was paying for two individual night stays), and then run correctly twice in a row. The flurry of activity got my business car flagged as potential fraud and I was without the ability to use it for the rest of the day until I figured out what had happened. The first policy on it's own will keep me from staying at this property in the future, and the second issues though an accident was just one more reason to go elsewhere (even if it's another IHG property).
