The room was clean and comfortable. Check in/out very easy and the hotel is in a good location. Just one small issue, the hot breakfast items were luke warm and not very good quality. But overall I would recommend staying here.

4 of us in a room this time so space limited but good value for money. We had a quiet room, very clean and functional.
Breakfast bit of a wait for some hot items so would suggest staff kept better eye on volume.

An excellent place to stay except that not once in the two days we were there could I get anything better than just warm water out of the taps. We ended up directing the shower water into the wash basin so we could enjoy hot!

Our family group stayed here while attending a local wedding. It was a great venue, with helpful staff. We would definitely use it again if in the area.

We were looking for somewhere to stay while visiting Banbury for a birthday party. We based our choice of hotel on two things - location (close to the party) and the fact that sky sports news was advertised as a channel available in the rooms. Our plan for the afternoon? Me - pampering, preening and relaxing. My husband - watching sky sports news. Unfortunately, despite the channel guide next to the TV listing sky sports news as one of the channels, a quick call down to reception confirmed that the channel actually hadn't been available for a few months (the card next to the TV hadn't been updated#. Now, in the grand scheme of things, of course, this isn't a big deal. *However* as this was the only reason for us booking this hotel over another hotel, we felt a little cheated out of our money :# Everything else about the hotel was brilliant, no complaints at all. Great staff, lovely breakfast, clean and comfortable room :)

We thoroughly enjoy staying here, this is our 3rd time. Very friendly, helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble for them to do for guests. Very clean accommodation, all over the premises. Rooms lovely. Food great. Will be back and if this is a representation of Holiday Inns we would be unlikely to stay anywhere else.

Wish they would ban luggage from the breakfast area (potential health & safety - trip hazard). Also, if they want guests to clear their own breakfast trays to the rack provided, why don't they put clear signs on each table saying so?

Yet another return visit, and everything as good as usual. However, arriving by early evening this time, we would very much have appreciated two chairs in the room o we could have watched the TV without sitting on the bed. You kindly moved us to a room with a sofa so this did the trick instead, and you also told us that you were planning to put an extra chair in rooms where there was not a sofa

Stayed at this Holiday Inn Express several times our daughter lives in Banbury so ideal when we visit for a couple of days Excellent value for money if booked in advance very clean good breakfast and friendly staff. My biggest moan is the beds for my wife and me they are dreadfull to sleep on very soft sprung mattress I might add we are not heavyweights
Otherwise no complaint will definitely use this again

I stayed at this Holiday Inn last week, i found it very difficult to get a good nights sleep because i could hear traffic from the main road & the M 40 too very dissapointed,

Arrived to find our rooms, booked on Priority Club membership number had been given to other guests. Ages to sort out and initially offered rooms that did not fit with our profile.
Not at all the usual Holiday Inn welcome.

Arriving at this hotel with my wife we were a) not recognised as priority club members and b) initially given a room which was made up for 4 people i.e. the sofa had been converted into a bed. Whilst we were quickly given an alternative room it begs the question does membership of priority club (gold member in my case) have any meaning here? Certainly the following night at Bristol I was duly recognised.
Reception apart, everything else was fine.

Stopped off at this hotel for one night whilst on business.
Easy to get to (just off the M40) and plenty of free parking. Lovely staff at reception, very courteous and attentive.
Hotel room up to the usual high standards of most Holiday Inn Express'. Opted out of eating at the hotel that evening, instead I went to one of the neighbouring establishments (there is a Frankie & Benny's and a Toby Carvery to choose from)
Had a good night's sleep (without earplugs) and an enjoyable breakfast before setting off on my travels.
It was also a bonus to have free internet & wifi available.
Will stay there again if I get the opportunity

the staff as in all Holiday inn was very polite...but there was a lack of genuinity...also room was not as clean as usual,the heating was not working and we had a little electric heater in room .overall it was ok but not as good as i always expect and find at the holiday inn

Whilst the hotel facilities and comfort was very good, my stay was ruined by the noise. When I spoke to staff in the morning, they told me the night staff had forgotten to turn off the TV. No compensation was offered.

This Holiday Inn Express at Banbury, was a terrific exerience,We have stayed at quite a few HIE throughout the world but this was just great to us. We had had a trauma packed day, unfortunately had an accident on the motorway earlier in the day and when we got to Banbury believe me this was heaven. The bed was comfy, staff were so welcoming it was great. A very big thank you ,do hope we can come again to you soon.

Stayed at Banbury again, I always use this hotel when I am in the area as the staff are excellent, they really do go the extra mile.
The hotel is well located close to the motorway and within easy reach to the town centre too.
