Good location as it is very near to subway station of National Stadium. Walking distance to all hot shopping area of Bangkok such as Siam Discovery, MBK, Siam Paragon etc...
Good reception staff service.
Just minor problem on room cleaning service as they do not provide me with dental kit for continuous 3 days and everyday I have to call the front desk to deliver it to my room. Have to deduct some service points here..
Anyway, my overall experience is good.
Yeah.. I like the hotel guard (dunno the name) that show a very bright smile and provide greeting that refreshing my trip early morning everyday.

Breakfast buffet was casual and lovely, as was the restaurant.
Very enjoyable and relaxing.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gchelin78 Excellent Hotel - Great Location
For anyone looking for a central hotel in Bangkok, this would be a good choice. The hotel is close to the MBK and Siam Paragon shopping malls and is conveniently situated right by the BTS which Bangkok's transport system.
The rooms are spacious and clean and because the hotel is quite new everything is very modern.
The staff are helpful and the overall service is great. The only small downfall is the breakfast which is a bit of a messy and chaotic experience.

We have been upgraded which was a good bonus after our flight was cancelled. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jariz Holiday Inn - really the best experience
I have tried numerous hotels from Singapore, Malaysia, and now Thailand, and I can say that only Holiday Inn gives me the comfort and relaxation that I need.
For my stay on Holiday Inn, Siam, they maintained their superb customer service. I received warm greetings from the staff, and what i truly appreciate was the personal welcome of the assistant manager who gave his contact numbers to assure that my every concern will be well accommodated. The ambiance is relaxing, and all staffs are friendly, hospitable, and always smiling :)
Holiday Inn - The most commendable hotel ever!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by stevenbkk Just a room to sleep in
Stayed at this hotel because travel friends booked prepaid.
Good side is the rooms are new.
Down side no pool, no tub, shower has poor water pressure. Breakfast has very limited variety, if you like scramble eggs, fried noodle, sausage and congee, you are good. Else, there is no choice.
Staffs are not too eager to serve you. Go down to the lobby to get any amenities you need. They only start with one toothbrush in the room and thats it.
Mini bar is empty. I don't understand how that works as you finally have to pay for what you drink so whats the point of keeping it empty?
I still don't understand why the hotel is kept at that basic.
Lighting inside hotel is extremely dark, hurts my eyes.
Unless you are on business and would only want to get a room to sleep in. Defintely did not feel relax and ruined my trip.

Perfect location - steps to National Stadium BTS. Room is comfortable and plenty of space for this solo traveler. One thing that would be nice would be washcloths for shower. Bed comfortable. Staff great and provided excellent service and assistance. Room corridor has nice hue of color - very soothing. You simply cannot beat the value for this hotel. Will be back for sure!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by duriandude Bangkok with Holiday Inn Express
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across from the National Stadium and MBK. It's a pleasant place. They have a nice free breakfast on the 7th floor. I was a bit surprised to find many choices there. Even someone with a special diet like myself was able to enjoy Thai delights.
The room was a bit small but comfortable. The internet was working well and I was able to get my work done.
The Skytrain is just a few steps from the main entrance and it takes you most places in Bangkok.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Andrew1129 Good location and easy access to shops and skytrain
Hotel located near MBK and skytrain. Idea for one who want to shop, eat and access to public transport.
Good idea to allow guests to bring coffee back to room if they choose not to eat breakfast at the allocated place.
Staffs are helpful including the GM.
Prices for room are reasonable and highly recommended for those who are visiting Bangkok for the first time.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by olivertwisst Good location and great service
i was on a short breakaway over the weekend in Bangkok and staying with Holiday Inn Siam Hotel, when i first arrived, i was greeted by the warm front desk staffs and manager, my check in process is speedy
My next few days stays were pleasant and relax.
however, there are a few points that i am looking forward to see improvement.
1. In bathroom, basin is having water leakage, water drips and sip through the basin, reaches the lower wooden deck
2. Sanitary pad is not available when i was requesting for it, i recalled there was a sign in bathroom mentioning it will be available when we make request to front desk
3. Front desk staff on evening duty could have been helpful enough to assist us sourcing for a bowl and fork, instead of telling us restaurant is closed. My husband was the one went down to 7th floor, Cafe to try his luck around 7PM while i was heavily ill and looking for a bowl to have porridge

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CKSby Good hotel, not helpful reception staff
The hotel is great in terms of location and facilities. Good breakfast, even choices of food are limited. Great coffee machine! Unfortunately the reception staffs seems unfriendly, not really willing to help. We were requested to fill in forms and passports for all 6 members in the 3 rooms we stayed in.
A few hours before check out time, I requested one hour late check out cause we needed to take our lunch. The reception staff requested 600 Baht additional payment per room. Never experience this in any other hotel. We stayed in 3 rooms for 4 nights. After complaining to the manager, he approved the one hour late.
BTW, did I mention they have great coffee machine?

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Valencian For a Holiday Inn Express - very good, although lifts could be an issue
My general experience of Holiday Inn 'Express' hotels are that they are usually quite basic but not expensive.
The Holiday Inn Express in Bangkok is reasonably priced and the rooms excellent and far from basic.
The hotel is located just five minutes from the Siam shopping complexes, similar from Jim Thompson's house, if your interested in this attraction and less time from Skytrain so great location.
Breakfast, included, was basic but OK and the staff could have been a little more helpful but the staff on the front desk were superb. They helped me a lot with my booking and changes and deserve a big thank you.
I only have one small issue and that is for a hotel with 24 floors or more only having 3 lifts can be an issue. At busy times, breakfast / early morning check-out time particularly you could expect to wait some time to get a lift and then some time while the lift stopped and seemingly every floor.
I would definitely recommend this hotel as well worth trying for many reasons.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent Experience This Trip with Holiday Inn Express (SIAM)
This trip has been giving me great experience with Holiday Inn.
Facility, Service, Breakfast, all give me fresh experience and I would say compare with all other IHG group hotel in China,
they should come to learn how to make customer satisfy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hburn10 Exceeded expectations!
This was the choice for a 2night getaway to Bangkok - about 7 of us took 3 rooms. Prior to my trip, I knew this was considered a budget for HI and had expected a budget-y sort of experience when I went but we were all very pleasantly surprised by the stay.
CHECK IN - We arrived at 1pm and were checked in immediately which was a good start to the trip.
ROOMS - We had rooms 1708, 1710, and 1712, all of which was very nice and well-appointed. My room in particular (1708) was a corner room which was slighter bigger than the others - I suspect it was because we asked for an extra bed to be placed in it. I loved the blue hues of the corridor leading to the rooms and the tinges of blue in the room itself. The room was extremely clean, the bathroom big, the beds super comfy, and the pillow selection of firm or soft sweetened the whole experience. I loved that apart from the working glass desk, there was another lounge chair to relax in. Coffee / tea sachets were provided too. Complimentary water was provided in the form of glass jars which were replenished each day. The only sign of 'budget' was the multi purpose cleanser dispenser in the bathroom - so bring your own if you dont like these.
SERVICE - Service was good throughout - during check in, check out, in-room dining, request for extra towels etc. The security will even call a taxi for you if you need one so you can do away with shoo-ing away tuk tuk touts waiting to pounce on you along the hotel entrance.
DINING - Breakfast in The Great Room on level 7 was nice as the place was not overly crowded when we went, and there were plenty to fill your stomach given that they dont charge extra for breakfast. There were fried rice, sausages, eggs, cereal, bread, pastries #at least 6 different kinds#, fruits, and a machines that gives you coffee, hot chocolate etc. I've seen some reviews which asked for more variety but for me this is more than sufficient!
LOCATION - this is located in Siam indeed but at the far end of the BTS which means you are along the shopping stretch but at 1 end of it. It is diagonally opposite MBK and almost very near to Siam discovery but the hot weather sometimes make the walk feel further than it is.
MASSAGE - I loved the massage place right beside the hotel - Lek House. The massage is only SGD10 for 1hour #foot, body etc# - those with oil costs more of course. They dont take bookings so you just walk in - but they have plenty of masseurs so should not be a problem.
HI Express Siam a rare gem as it gives you the cleanliness of a 5star hotel with a pocket-friendly price. On hindsight, its location also gives you the reason to walk away all those tom yam and phad thai indulgence.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VincentSiemReap Great location near BTS and shopping
This is a nice Hotel in a good location and fairly priced. Lobby, common areas and rooms are contemporary in design and rather pleasant atmosphere.
ASIA Restaurant, although seperate from Hotel billing system, was very good with attentive staff.
BTS (elevated train National Stadium station) is a minute or 2 walk where you can connect to the Airport Express Train or MRT (Subway) and get around town cheaply.Note: Many of the train stations are NOT traveller friendly with no escalators so you have to carry your bags up or down flights of stairs. Some do have elevators (lifts).
MBK Mall, one of the largest in Asia, is a short walk as well as the upscale Paragon mall. Check-in was rather slow as the 2 receptionists on duty were busy. Seems like they could have called in a third person to assist.
Rooms are relatively small even though I got upgraded to a corner room. Breakfast was adequate and all was fresh and hot.
Worth a few nights stay and I would visit again.
