Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Hour and Working Spa - What's Not To Like From the first desk person I encountered to the last, everyone was very pleasant and extremely helpful. The room was as expected, which is perfect. There was an interestingly folded towel which was a very simple thing but it made me smile and that's a good thing. The location offers a wide choice of fast food and restaurants as well as a Walmart. The last two HIE that I stayed in didn't have a working spa; the spa here was working, warm and appreciated. The Happy Hour was a nice touch and very popular. Would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. October 27, 2013

The desk checked me in about 1 hour early, and I arranged to check out 2 hours late. The room was very nice, with sets of both soft and firm pillows - it says so on the pillowcases. The room was clean, the AC worked great, and the bathroom featured lots of free goodies. Breakfast was very good - eggs, bacon, pancakes, bagels, cereal, toast, oatmeal, fancy coffees, and several juices - - and the famous warm cinnamon rolls I would definitely stay here again. Great value for the room and breakfast. Very comfortable surroundings including the sitting chair and lamp....nice place to sit, relax and read. The only change would be toward a fresher breakfast buffet. August 19, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Morning Staff Not Good Granted we slept late, but I was shocked to come out to the breakfast area to find... No eggs, no breakfast meats, no fruits. Our only choices where toast, muffins or yogurts. VERY DISAPPOINTED SINCE THE YOUNG LADY BEHIND THE COUNTER WATCHED AS MY HUSBAND, MYSELF AND SEVERAL OTHER GUESTS SCROUNGED TO FIND ENOUGH TO EAT! We ended up going out to breakfast, which we have never had to do at HI Express. July 5, 2013

Breakfast choices are great and food is always warm and area is kept clean. Rooms are always clean and linens are so fresh. Pool is nice and very private...close to everything you need. June 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bastrop location is excellent! I've stayed at this location several times while on business, and have always had a great experience. On my last stay I was getting ready to start my work day and found the hair dryer wasn't working. I called the front desk and asked them for another one. I was completely set to wait a half hour or longer, but was pleasantly surprised when housekeeping knocked on my door about 5 minutes later with a spare to use. When I returned to my room that evening, the dead hair dryer had been replaced with a new one. The staff is always welcoming, and the rooms are always clean and refreshed when I first check in or come back to my room in the evenings. If I need something or forget something at home, they usually have it to me in just a few minutes. I can't say enough about this location. I wish other chains were as awesome as this one!
