Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fun for Kids, & relaxing for Adults! The waterpark was the draw for us, which was great for the kids to have alot of fun. We soaked in the "Adults Only" hot tub and enjoyed some relaxation. The rooms are very nice and clean, the double queen was perfect for 2 adults 2 kids and a dog! Breakfast in the morning was more that we could have imagined with a continental breakfast, lots of selections to make everyone happy and a great big eating area with a northwoods theme. Definately will come back for a "get away' with the kids! April 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience We stayed one night over Spring Break. We have three kids ages 9, 6, and 2. They all loved it! We had water park passes. This water park was not too big, but not too small. All three of our kids loved it. Our 2 year had plenty to do. My husband and I had even more fun because the kids had fun. We have been to the giant water parks so we weren't sure how this was going to go. We WILL be going back! The price was great. The breakfast was nice. The only suggestion: bring your own pillow. The room was nice, clean and updated. The lobby of the hotel was clean. We look forward to our next quick get away at the Holiday Inn Express in Baxter! Thanks for making our spring break complete! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Had a Good Stay We have been staying at this hotel for the past 5-6 years for a 1-2 night stay to use the water park over school break. The kids always enjoy the water park and the water park staff is always so pleasant and friendly. The food at the cafe in the water park is very reasonably priced and tastes good too! Would be nice to be able to bring water bottles and small snacks in. The front desk staff has always been very friendly (and the good cookies at check-in are always yummy!) We think the breakfast is very good and has a good variety - warm cinnamon rolls, cheese omelet, sausage, toast, yogurt, fruit, cereal, milk, juices, tea, coffee, boiled eggs and more. We chose a kids suite this year as we had extra kids - a king bed would be nice for the adults vs the queen. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and having their own TV. Nice to have fridge and microwave in room. The only problem we encountered was the bathtub not draining while we were taking our showers. That is something that I find terribly gross. Would also be nice to have 4 chairs for the table located in the main room in the dbl bunk rooms as we sat down to eat pizza and the kids couldn't all sit at the table so therefore had to eat on our bed. Even better would be if we could have brought our pizzas to the common area (breakfast area) to eat where we would have been more comfortable. We were pleasantly told by front desk that is not allowed. An extra garbage can or a larger garbage can would also be nice. With six people in a room and 3 pizza boxes there isn't much room for garbage. Some items have also been removed from the water park so it is starting to look run down but still fun. Better lighting in the water park by the tables would also be appreciated so a person could do some reading while the kids are off playing. All in all good and we will be back next year I am sure - just wanted to add those few suggestions. March 13, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by King Suite is not large enough for 6 people The king suite says maximum 6 people. Since we were traveling with 2 adults and 3 young children, this seemed perfect. But one bed and one sofa sleeper (not to mention 4 towels) does not accommodate 5 or 6 people. We were awakened several times in the night by loud people in the halls. The water slide area was great but kind-of dark after sundown. The family hot tub chlorine was VERY strong and made the kids cough. We did appreciate the snack bar with reasonably priced pizza, etc. We would however like to be able to bring in our own beverages and fruit, etc (which is not allowed). Over-all, it was a good stay with a few minor disappointments. February 15, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Housekeeping is the only problem The housekeeping staff are so inconsistent from person to person. I had cookie crumbs (NOT FROM ME) in the room for 5 days that I stayed here. Finally the front desk person came to my room and vacummed it up himself. They forgot to replace room coffee. None of them clean the room the same way. Everyday there was something. Everything else is good, just the housekeeping people need to get it together. December 14, 2012
