Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed from the last stay! I am usually never negative but our previous stay at 3 Bears was pretty unsatisfactory! My mother in law has been taking the whole family to 3 bears this being the 3rd year and we were delt a handful of complications! Half of our group decided we wanted an extra day being we've had such a wonderful and pleasant time in the past so we went for it... I feel as if there was a red flag the moment we checked in. Most of the water park was shut down leaving just the pool and adult hot tub open for us, ok not the end of the world but ok let's move on to Friday morning 3 more family members arrived and the kids were so excited because after breakfast they were going to go play in the up and running water park.... Then a note was posted that the water park was closed from 10-2 for a private party... Ok at this point we are all pretty upset bc this is our family Christmas and we have 8 small children with nothing to do.. Sunday rolls around and my mother in law paid cash for all the rooms and the cards would be cleared and the hold would come off once the rooms were clean, so we were told my husband went to get gas and groceries and his card was declined because 3 bears was charging double for our 3 night stay... Our account was froze for 4 days, completely un acceptable to me and my family.. I have felt nothing but frustrated the whole time when this was supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed We come here every year to celebrate our Christmas.this year was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever experienced. From the get go the bed was dirty. The tv worked when it wanted to. They had the water park was closed for a few hours for s private party they failed to mention when they called earlier in the week before our visit. And they got double paid on one of the rooms. Will not be returning that's for sure February 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff, Rooms in need of a refresh The staff is great and one of the reasons I stay at Holiday Inns. The hotel itself had wonderful options to eat and entertain kids. The Hotel room (Grizzly Retreat) was in drastic need of new furnishings. The Furniture all had major stains. The Carpet was stained and dirty. The carpet was coming away from walls revealing the cement below. The front desk said they were in the process of updating everything, but I think the process should have been started long ago. I hope to update with another review after the refresh is complete February 3, 2016
