We were amazed to find the service and accommodations equal to far more expensive hotels we've experienced in our travels (worldwide and in the U.S.) The service was friendly and efficiency. Breakfast each morning was as good as any I've experienced without cost: a wide range of choices including a wonderful pancake maker. One of the best experiences we've had in a hotel. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Clean Hotel, Poor Customer Service When I arrived to the hotel, the front desk attendant was plugged in to headphones and did not even look up or greet me when I walked in. I stood at the desk for a few seconds trying to get her attention and then she took the headphones out of her ears. Once I checked in, she gave me my room keys. We used the key to open our hotel room door and there were already other people in there! Fortunately the people were not there, but their suitcases were there, open and they had stuff all over. We were shocked, and shut the door. I went to tell the front desk and the same attendant was very dismissive of this issue (which is a significant security issue!!) . Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and looking into how this happened, she rolled her eyes and started talking about how frustrated she was at the co-workers who worked earlier that day saying "I hate the late shift". She gave me new keys and I went to the new room. A lot of my frustration could have been resolved with a simple "I am so sorry for the inconvenience", but to be met with such an attitude did not feel very appropriate. The room was fine, but this experience would keep me from visiting another Holiday Inn. October 21, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Located in a noisy location I have had generally good experience with Holiday Inn Express hotels and normally recommend them to others. This hotel is the exception. All of the Suites are located along Garth road, which is very busy. The rooms on that side of the hotel were very noisy. I happened to have a sound level meter on my smart phone and it indicated that the noise level was at times equal to a street within my room. It was difficult to relax and sleep while hearing people gunning their motors on their way to the next stop light. I changed rooms on second day to a room on the back of the hotel. In theory this should be quieter. However my room was next to a large HVAC unit and was even noisier than the first room (about 60+ decibels). But at least the noise was constant instead of varying as was on the street side. Altogether this was an unpleasant experience and I do not recommend this hotel. September 27, 2015
