Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Nice! Not in the best neighborhood, and has a confusing entrance. Parkdale is in the title, but it isn't in the Parkdale vicinity really. It is probably closer to Lumberton than Parkdale! Still, it is clean, smells good, very comfy bed, and friendly staff. Will likely return for my frequent business stays in the Beaumont area. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beaumont, TX hotels have a problem This stay (08/11 to 08/13): Arrived at hotel, no luggage carts. Microwave was broken. Trash / power drinkers running up and down the hallway all hours of the night. Minor issues, but definitely need addressing! All HIE in Beaumont have issues! I will not be staying in Beaumont anymore! Entirely to much trash stay there (happens every trip). Rather have a commute in the mornings vs. giving away hard earned money to a trashy hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No big problems. I had no big problems and the room was very clean. The only objection I had was that the shower curtain had a bad odor. Seems like it was mildewed. I notified the front desk when I checked out. Seems to me, however, that this should have been checked by somebody before I even checked in. This was a very small negative though in my overall stay. One thing I noticed that I didn't like was the extra charge on my bill for the city's taxes. The tax was excessive and will cause me to not stay in Beaumont next year. Holiday Inn can't do anything about this, but I will not be held ransom to this excessive tax. August 11, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Missing Chair made for difficult relaxation. This was our second stay at this property. First stay was nice, very impressionable. This second stay, however, left much to be desired. There was no chair in the room for relaxing-only the floor lamp. I reported this to front desk given that we were there for 2 nights. Person at front desk said they might be out of chairs?? ( I thought they were standard for a the room). Difficulty getting the internet connection, staff seem a bit to casual about correcting problems. Big change in the short time between our 2 stays. Very lax about recognition of IHG status ie would you prefer free snacks or additional points? Didn't understand her at first so asked to repeat. Ended up not getting either. August 9, 2014
