Overall experience good. Clean and comfortable.
Minor things to be improved:
1. I found coffee/tea mark on the cup.
2. Free WIFI cannot be used at most of the time. The connection is very bad.
3. Radio interference is very serious when I used the iPOD docking station to play my music. The noise is louder than my music.

每次在北京都入住这个酒店，房间舒适性无可挑剔，但退房时出现小的插曲，让前台帮忙预定了早上8：30去朝阳门的出租车，到了前台询问出租车是否到达，被告知原来安排的车临时过不来，换了另外一辆车，并告知了车牌号，我让稍等，但过了很久还是没来，我再次询问前台，前台联系说这里车也过不来，并安排工作人员帮忙在路边拦，由于时间来不及，我不得不自己在外拦车。
从这件小事可以看出，酒店员工主动性不够，如果我不找工作人员，工作人员是不会告知车型情况，这点让我非常不满。

The hotel is clean, modern and our room was great. We had a choice of pillows, coffee/tea maker in room. Huge shower and rooms were quiet. We would have liked free internet in our room rather than going down to the second floor for free internet access. The restaurant has lilmited food choices. There are no stores or restaurants nearby and the neighborhood is dark. Rather than take a taxi in the evening, we ate at the hotel restuarant with its very limited menu. Food was good but not great and as previously mentioned, there were few choices on the counter menu.

I stay in this hotel whenever I visit Beijing since it was built in 2008. The only problem is the WiFi in the room is not always good depending on the location of the room.

入住的是Queen Bed房，房间比较宽敞，备有无线和有限上网；卫生间干净整洁，洗发露和沐浴露二合一，提供基本洗漱用品。
免费提供自助早餐，但因是外国旅行团定点酒店，所以早上8:15前用餐很难找到座位，品种丰富度一般；晚餐主要供应套餐，大都在30-40元之间，带水果和汤。
附近有大型超市，餐饮和银行，但近期酒店门口的马路有施工，略有不便，地理位置属于闹中取静。
总体感觉简洁舒适，如没有太高要求也适合商旅之选。

This is a great Holiday Inn. I had a meeting elsewhere in town but I had the chance to visit the Temple of Heaven. Be prepared for a long walk since the temple is a huge, huge park. The hotel has a nice little map with the surrounding attractions (including the Tiananmen Square). The breakfast is very basic so do not expect much. Clean and effective. They could use having a small convenience store with postcards, knick knacks, more snacks. The one just outside the hotel door has chips and booze.

This hotel is a good base for visiting Beijing. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The building is nicely-designed and the decor is attractive. A number of worthwhile sites are within walking distance. The closest metro station is a 20-minute walk but worth discovering for convenience in getting around town. The Beijing South Railway Station with high speed rail connections is just ten minutes away by taxi.

The location is not very convenient as it is not close to any shopping or tourist district unless the Temple of Heaven itself (walking distance). However hailing a cab is not a problem at all and it's only about 15min to most of our destined places (TianAnMen Square, WangFuJin, Pearl Market, Sanlitun).
Hospitality - Staff was very friendly and pretty helpful in most things we asked for. But language is still a barrier as most of the staff only understand very little English.
Cleanliness - I have to say that I'm quite disappointed with the housekeeping. The housekeeper never really clean our bathroom, they only changed the towel, also didn't really provide us with bathroom supplies unless we request for them. Bed was made carelessly and never vacuum the room carpet.
My overall experience was just okay.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The checkin service for a platnum member was poor, they got the room numbers wrong and had to come back and have them check numbers and redo key. Each evening and each morning vendors on property trying to sell things to you. Breakfast choices were not great, and staff could not be bothered to clean up tables that were empty. Children and I ended up sitting on a window ledge to have somewhere to sit.
Hotel changed my reservation after I received confirmation and then had to spend 45 minutes on phone with Priority Club to get it changed back.
Rooms (3) were booked under bonus points rate, and after stay was not given priority bonus points, in fact they removed them.

Overall, I was satisfied with the environment of this hotel. The clothing was clean and the bed was really comfortable. But, I just cannot understand that, a wonderful hotel such as Holiday Inn refused to provide free internet service! Absolutely ridiculous. Also, I don't think the traffic is convenient. Lots of taxi drivers outside the hotel, but you will never get one unless you tell them that you are going to the Airport or Hebei province.

Very good yet quite location that is close to the Temple of Heaven with only 10 minutes walk distance.
The room is spacious and the breakfast offered is of good value. Though I think the restaurant could have offered more choices for dinner.
I will consider staying there again for my next Beijing trip!

The overall experience was good and will consider staying again. I extended check-out time to 6pm due to my flight in the midnight and paid for additional 50%. The service staff wanted to clean the room at noon and I told her that I had extended my check out time and told her to clean it after I check out at 6pm. She wasn't seem happy with my answer and insisted to do the cleaning. And I was really firm with my decision. However, she came back knocking my door twice 2pm and 3pm, I told her the same thing. The cleaner attempted entry to my room at 4pm when I was taking a nap and that really freak me out. Luckily I locked the door from inside and she left after a few attempts. I continued with my nap and I was woke up again half an hour later by a phone call asking to clean the room.
The hotel should look into this seriously as such action was really disturbing especially when the guests need some good rest for a long flight. It's really iritating. Please improve the service.

My son and daughter booked from July 2 to 4 and extended the stay until 7th of July of 2012. The great friendly rate, the very convenient location ( we had 15 minutes casual walk) to Temple of Heaven, Taoranting MTR Station was an awesome experience to be a local. One room (for the 3 of us) was such a help to help us bond more specially before sleeping. Staffs were very helpful and friendly by translating some English stuff into Chinese for easy roaming around the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square & Center for the Arts. I highly recommend everyone to avail of the buffet breakfast. Foods were fine and great, and freshly(newly cooked) serve. I also greatly appreciated the everyday supply of two bottled water. Location is such enormous ... to be a local of the area... requesting to some of our small needs was efficiently addressed... I highly recommend Holiday Inn-Express Beijing Hotel.. may your tribe increase... cheers!

This hotel is a nice hotel and a great value for the money. There are restaurants in the area. It is a rather long walk to the subway, but taxis are very inexpensive so there is that option. Free breakfast is good; free internet is a plus.

For the price, great stay. Good location too. Only downside, if you're American, beware that taxi's do not pick you up. You either walk, wait a long time for a taxi, or take the subway. AWESOME breakfast!
