The biggest negative was staff training. I was told that they didn't have wash cloths. I found out later my colleague had them. The Bistro was advertised to be open during the day but when I tried to order some light lunch I was told that no food was available. We were provided a soft drink each day at the front desk. However when we asked for a certain kind we were told that they didn't have any however it was in stock not 20 steps away.
There was a big company meeting at the ground floor with flashing lights shining in the room and microphone turned so high that it drowned out the TV on the 10th floor. When asked if they could turn it down was offered a different room. When asked if they could help move me the front desk said they couldn't and at first refused to even bring up a cart. HBO was received so poorly that it was unwatchable. Temperature in the room was unbearably hot with no way to adjust the temp. We booked Holliday Inn because we expected a known quantity in our hotel experience what we got was very poor service and a frustrating stay. Also had to ask several times for a room upgrade for being a platinum member before getting an answer.
