My husband and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Belleville, MI on Dec. 22. 2012. This was the second time we stayed at the hotel, and accommodations are very nice and the stay was pleasant. However, we feel that there is false advertising when it comes to the "shuttle to/from Detroit Airport-Wayne" We asked for a shuttle from the hotel and then back because we had my elderly mother with us and had to get her to the airport for her flight out to San Diego. Then we were requesting that we could get the shuttle back to the hotel, since we were staying that night. The manager informed us that this was not a "taxi service" and that it was not hotel policy to allow this type of situation to occur. We had been given this service two years ago when we stayed, and the manager said that it must have been by accident, and that we should not expect this kind of help to the airport. There are several advertisements that state there is shuttle service to and from the airport. It is on the phone recording when on "hold" and stated on billboards at the airport. We were very disappointed on the attitude we were given at the hotel, and we had to go ahead and make other arrangements for my mother's travels. I would hope that the "ads" would be more clearly stated, so that we would not have the confusion of the situation that we faced. We will not choose the Holiday Inn Express in Belleville, Mi again for any future stays. There are plenty of other chains that would have been more helpful, and able to accommodate our request

We stayed December 8th with priority club platinum points to be close to our daughter. The internet in the hotel did not work even after 45 minutes with tech support. The staff at the counter seemed to care about carrying on conversations with their friends than addressing guests and to top it off-- within hours of discovering that my wife left her knee pillow in our room after checkout-- we got the response that they would check with housekeeping and let us know..... That was 2 weeks and 2 more phone calls ago and still has not gotten a response. Very disappointed we will definitely stay somewhere else next time we are in the area.

Overall everything was very nice! Parking could be a little better, not enought of. Check-in and check-out was very good! Front desk did a fine job. Keep up the nice work!

We had a 40 person meeting there and it went poorly. HVAC issues were never resolved, and the doors were kept open as they moved furniture/accepted deliveries in 30 degree weather. Lunch was embarrassing- cold cuts and salad that looked store bought in the last hour. My room was okay, but a few of my colleagues had major issues with HVAC and electrical malfunctions. Normally don't complain, but this place has a long way to go.

Pet friendly hotel, nice rooms. Great breakfast bar in the morning with plenty of seating. Traveling with pets, the exterior has sufficient grassy areas for dogs to do their business, just be responsible and pick it up! The rear of the hotel is a good area for walking pets. Close to Detroit Metro Airport.
