My wife was in the hospital and we decided to spend the night at this Holiday Inn. I made reservations for 2 queen beds. We arrived and were given our room. Upon entering our room, the beds weren’t made, bed linen was thrown in a corner, and the bathroom was a mess. We were then given a free room for the night, and to give the hotel another chance to make things right. Upon entering this room, it smelled of smoke, but this is a non-smoking hotel. I told the front desk and she assured me we wouldn’t be charged for the cleaning. It was a long day and 1230 in the morning, we were beat. I was also told that I would receive the 500 IHG points for the room but since it was a free room, it is considered a non-qualifying stay and I get 0 points. We had to spend the next night in Cincinnati so I gave the same hotel another chance. This time I checked in at 2:30 in the afternoon, there was a clean room so they gave it to us. At around 9:30 that night we rolled into the room but there was a “Do Not Disturb” on the door and our keys would not work. We went down to the front desk and was told that our room had a heat issue. There were no more 2 bed rooms that were made up. Housekeeping was still there and we were given a choice of waiting for a 2 bed room to be made up or given a king room. We were both worn out and took the king bed, housekeeping immediately left and went home. If you knew that I wanted a room with 2 beds why wasn’t the room made up before we arrived. The night clerk at the from desk said that he could only offer 5000 points but he assured me that he would talk to his supervisor to get us more points for the inconvenience. Upon leaving the next morning I asked the girl at the desk if I would be given any points. She said she would give me 5000 points for my trouble and that it would be in my account the next morning. I am still waiting for those points to show up. I just hope no one else has to go thru this mess.

Stayed at this property for a quick trip for a book signing and some snow tubing close by. Nice property and room. The breakfast selection was a little limited as to what I usually see at the same hotels.

Staff members were kind/courteous/helpful.
Breakfast was standard for a HIE, which is nice. Room was not in the best shape, including large stain in carpet by one of the beds, badly broken tile in the bathroom, and coffee stains on the wall by the wet bar and also by the entry door. There were also "clumps" of dirt on the elevator floor that stayed there for the duration of my stay.
