I wish I remembered his name but you can see who was working that night. Desk clerk was amazing. Very helpful with directing us to a great restaurant and giving directions to the airport for the AM. He was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Here is the example how some smaller issues can damage overall expression:
1. Breakfast - the staff didn't watch for food disappearing fast. Skimmed milk was the only choice left. I found the only one rotten orange. I noticed small sign saying to ask staff member for help. After I found a staff member, she said: "follow me" and walked me into the kitchen ???, where I have received a quality orange.
That was the first time in my life being in a restaurant kitchen. Actually, I would prefer to find what I need in a dining room.
2. Air conditioning - we could not set a particular air temperature. It would be great to have that temperature sensor/regulator set.
It was not so hot outside, but we could not open a window, as it is very noisy outside. Cars, trains, planes - you name it. Close a window, and you are OK, but you need AC set to your comfort level.

I have stayed at many hotels in my life but none compares to the service my family received at the Holiday Inn Express Belmont, CA July 2014. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Shelley, Frances, and Mike took extremely good care of us during our stay. Initially my family was going to stay at 2 different hotels during our stay but after checking in at the Belmont location there was no way we were leaving, we cancelled our other reservation and extended our stay at the Belmont. I can go on and on about this hotel, you MUST experience it for yourself. You will agree with me! If you are looking for a good hotel about 30 minutes from San Francisco and San Jose stay at this hotel. You will be amazed at the customer service level. I have been telling everyone about this hotel. When my family returns to the San Francisco area we will be booking again at the Holiday Inn Express Belmont location.

Great, friendly service, easy check-in, Good location to Belmont businesses.
Hotel is very expensive, much like the other hotels in this area.
It would be more palatable if the rewards points for the stay were higher.

Front Desck Statf during my checkin and checkout were very nice and helpful. I was disappointed by the mgr when I stopped down for directions. He was not very friendly and totally preoccupied with talking with a hotel employee.

We were having work done at our home in town and chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Belmont. The timing dragged out to 5 weeks

Other than the front desk clerk being a little snippy when I arrived "Check in is not until 3", after I assured her I was aware of the rules and I was just inquiring if maybe there was a possibility of getting in the room early (I think it was around noon) she went the extra mile and found me ready adjoining rooms.
