Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ahhhhh My daughter and her friend and I spent one night at the Holiday Inn Express Belmont. We arrived around midnight, and were greeted warmly. The room was clean, the mattress and linens fresh and we all slept so soundly! Breakfast was excellent - and we especially appreciated the excellent coffee, greek yogurt (in addition to regular yogurt) and turkey sausage. The staff were very friendly and helpful - what a nice start to our day. August 4, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good place Here is the example how some smaller issues can damage overall expression: 1. Breakfast - the staff didn't watch for food disappearing fast. Skimmed milk was the only choice left. I found the only one rotten orange. I noticed small sign saying to ask staff member for help. After I found a staff member, she said: "follow me" and walked me into the kitchen ???, where I have received a quality orange. That was the first time in my life being in a restaurant kitchen. Actually, I would prefer to find what I need in a dining room. 2. Air conditioning - we could not set a particular air temperature. It would be great to have that temperature sensor/regulator set. It was not so hot outside, but we could not open a window, as it is very noisy outside. Cars, trains, planes - you name it. Close a window, and you are OK, but you need AC set to your comfort level. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by July Family Vacation I have stayed at many hotels in my life but none compares to the service my family received at the Holiday Inn Express Belmont, CA July 2014. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Shelley, Frances, and Mike took extremely good care of us during our stay. Initially my family was going to stay at 2 different hotels during our stay but after checking in at the Belmont location there was no way we were leaving, we cancelled our other reservation and extended our stay at the Belmont. I can go on and on about this hotel, you MUST experience it for yourself. You will agree with me! If you are looking for a good hotel about 30 minutes from San Francisco and San Jose stay at this hotel. You will be amazed at the customer service level. I have been telling everyone about this hotel. When my family returns to the San Francisco area we will be booking again at the Holiday Inn Express Belmont location. July 14, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I never thought I would stay in Belmont, CA Other than the front desk clerk being a little snippy when I arrived "Check in is not until 3", after I assured her I was aware of the rules and I was just inquiring if maybe there was a possibility of getting in the room early (I think it was around noon) she went the extra mile and found me ready adjoining rooms. The mini-fridge motor noise was quite annoying especially when the motor would kick on June 26, 2014

My husband and I have stayed here the two weeks in a row, the first week we stayed I had left a dress in the room and completely forgotten about it, the next week I guess the light bulb went off because as we were pulling into the hotel I remembered, I asked at the desk they did in fact have the dress. Jessica gave me a helpful introduction of shopping and restaurants in surrounding area during check-in. Roosevelt addressed my room change request promptly and helped find a room that suits my need among limited availability. And when I found out I forgot my charger during room transfer, Samir quickly got it located and sent it to my room within just several minutes. :) Room is clean. Breakfast selection is good. The only con is that internet access is slow. June 10, 2014

Hat man ein Zimmer zur Hotelrückseite, kann man auch ruhig schlafen. Als Gold Member wird man entsprechend begrüßt und erhält eine Flasche Wasser und die Zeitung als Add-On. Aufgrund der Platzverhältnisse und der Bebauung leider kein Pool, sonst aber alle Standard-Einrichtungen dabei. Das Hotel ist aufgeräumt sauber. May 30, 2014

Francis is always great and works hard to take care of you. I think that he makes the stay. If you call in for a reservation and have direct bill, unless it's him, you'll run into issues. The property did seem like an older property - but was in very good condition. There were people cleaning the lobby nearly non-stop while I was there. The clerk had great dinner suggestions and was very friendly when we checked in. Compared to other properties, there was little recognition for IHG Rewards Club members - especially being a Platinum Elite level. April 24, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy Room The hotel conference room is used for parties at the weekend. My room was directly above the conference room. I had an early meeting on Saturday and wanted to go to sleep at 8pm. I spoke to the woman on the reception desk and asked to be moved. She said they didn't have any other rooms but said the party would probably finish at 8:30pm. It didn't. I called again at 8:30 and 9:30 to complain about the noise. She told me there was nothing she could do but they were required by law to stop at 10pm. I asked that meant I should call the police if the party was still going at 10pm. She said I could do "whatever I liked." The hotel held another party on Saturday night. They were able to find me another room away from the party. I don't believe this hotel was designed to host social functions. I won't be staying again. March 26, 2014

It is within walking distance of the San Carlos Caltrain station and lots of nice shops and restaurants along Laurel Street in San Carlos. It has a flexible cancellation policy, and bonus point packages are available. There is ample complimentary parking, both covered (underground) and uncovered (above ground). My executive room was well-lit and had a comfortable King bed and plasma TV with HD channels. My room also had a sofa bed, coffee table, desk with chair, and refrigerator/microwave/counter area. My room was on the quiet side of the hotel facing away from the train tracks and El Camino Real. Breakfast is served in the morning at 06:30, but I did not have breakfast during this stay. In addition to Caltrain, there are also Sam Trans buses that can get you to SFO, Redwood City transit center, and Palo Alto transit center. February 12, 2014
