Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great place to stay The facility had very good beds and pillows and quiet rooms. The breakfast was very good and contained a large variety of items. Also, the breakfast attendant was very personable and friendly. They also did not try to gouge us with rates over the wrestling weekend, which is what we found at most of the other hotels. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Kids and Pets Too We were extremely happy with the outdoors and indoors for both décor and cleanliness. Staff was very friendly. We had adjoining rooms with other family members and our dog. The children spent most of their time at the pool, The internet was always available and fast. The food was excellent in variety, flavor, and presentation. We will be staying many times in 2015 and recommend the Holiday Inn Express to everyone. January 15, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by An Adequate Facility Let's be clear and fair within the Holiday Inn family. I've stayed at much better Holiday Express properties to be sure. The Bend property is below average in that regard. It feels old, a bit worn overall and has the feel of not having been an original Holiday property. It's location is disappointing in that there are no restaurants around close enough to walk, especially in the winter. You better have transportation once you get there. Maybe that is just what "express" means, I'm not sure. Having said that, the continental breakfast is above average, I've had a lot worse recently. I especially hated the old Amana wall heaters. Really? I had two of them to deal with and they are difficult to coordinate and find a good temp. I had to get up several times the first night to even come close to proper temperature. The shower head in the bathroom was awful. It had accumulated minerals and looked sleezy, almost dirty. Like many now, I bring a lot of technology with me to hotels, my smart phone, lap top and iPad. They all have to be charged overnight and the room is not tech friendly in that manner. Wall plugs are sparse and difficult to use. None by my bed easy to use, a big no-no. I struggled to get my devices charged overnight. The room's so-called alarm clock is pathetic and looks like something out of the 1970's and needs to go. Yes, the place has wi-fi, so does every motel and hotel on the planet, big deal. I no longer trust hotel wifi as everyone uses it and then it slows way down. I bring my own. In short, the room and facility was adequate, but lacking. Compared to other properties I've stayed at in Bend, however, it was actually a step up. Price-wise, its probably average for its type and problems. Would I stay there again? Yes I would. The employees were very good and made me feel welcome. You asked for an honest review and I gave it, I would still stay there again and hope things improve over time. December 31, 2014
