Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Polite and Careing Each time I arrive at the Benton Harbor Holiday Inn Express, it feels great to have the Managers Rick and Andy remember me and care about my stay. They ask How was my day was, and sat and had coffee with me just to chat, or with the group of us at the table. This is refreshing, most hotels I have stayed in the Management never spoke to me once. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very satisfactory, with one criticism. Had an impromptu stay at this hotel when winter road conditions became hazardous. Comfortable room and bed, nice staff. The fitness center equipment was better than expected, although the TV there was at an odd angle to watch while using the elliptical machine. My only complaint is that the humidity level in my room was very uncomfortably dry. I know this is not uncommon in hotels, but it would be great to have a better solution than putting a soaked bath towel over the heating unit. February 23, 2015

Great experiece althougnweather conditions were very bad dur to the snow storm, but in general, staff members were great. Unfotunately, I was not able to get around and experience a good restaurant location in the area. February 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shocked but comfortable bed Starter no one ever inform us time of breakfast. And when we went down in the morning we were shocked on how rude the staff went about them closing breakfast. It was ten am on the dot we thought it was open for another half hour. I know places that stayed open an extra half hour for people. It would've been nice to have someone that went the extra mile and didn't make us feel so unwelcomed and uncomfortable. At first glance the room was amazing but the sofa had some easy clean stains and in the bathroom the light was falling off over the bath barley hanging on. In the shower the disk around the shower handle was loose. Other than those few things I thought it was nice the bed was very comfotable. Although staff is lacking the care for customers very much I've never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel due to a staff member. February 19, 2015
