Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by "Out Of Order" I booked three nights using my points. Upon arrival I believe the front desk clerk was new because he recognized me as a priorityclub member #after look at the sign#. I was not recognized as a platinum member. During my stay the hot tub was "out of order" for the first night. Several of the pop machines were "out of order" the entire stay. At breakfast the pancake maker was "out of order" for the entire stay. The business center computer wouldn't connect to the internet. Two of the days the reception food was chips and cheese dip with the lid off of the crock pot of cheese dip the entire time. I bug was in the bathroom when first getting in the room and the last morning I was greeted with a bug in front of my face on the covers when I woke up. I would have to say this is my worst experience when staying at a Holiday Inn property. It seams like a total wast of my hard earned points that I used. I will not stay at this property again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The right choice in Bernalillo As a traveler, I've come to find certain points of interest to look for when arriving at a destination. Bernalillo is certainly interesting... The location of this hotel puts you close to a lot of eateries (I recommend the Range or Abuelita's), and a Walgreen's is very close by. (Side note: no wine/beer is sold at this Walgreen's) The freeway is close by, too. Santa Ana casino will send their shuttle to pick you up from the hotel if you so desire. Classic Holiday Inn Express breakfast is served in a clean, friendly environment...the cook is available for compliments! March 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pros and Cons I spent 4 nights at the hotel on vacation in the Albuquerque area. The hotel looks recently rennovated and is located in a very good area outside the conjestion of the large city of Albuquerque. Here are some pros and cons for you to consider if you are considering this hotel: PROS: Location: This hotel is in a GREAT location very close to the main attractions that drew us to Albuquereque for vacation; Balloon rides, casinos, and local wineries. All were within 10 minutes of the hotel. The hotel is just off I-25 and also provides an easy ride into downtown Albuquerque where we visited "Old Town", took only 20 minutes. We had a nice view of the mountains from our room. We had an awesome time in the area! Price: the hotel is very well priced compared to other hotels just 5-8 miles away in Albuquerque, and is closer to the attractions we wanted to visit. Accomodations: The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. There was an indoor pool/hot tub and gym area. The breakfast room was very spacious and nicely decorated with a large stone fireplace. The hotel is not new, but looks like it has been recetnly rennovated. CONS: Staff: Some of the staff was nice, but they didnt seem very knowledgable about the area. When I asked about local attractions at check in, the girl just handed me a stack of printed pages with restaurants and other attractions. The staff also didnt come across as friendly, although werent rude either. Maintenance: The gym only has three pieces of equipment; treadmill, exercise bike, and eliptical. The treadmill speed does not go fast enough to run, only a walk pace. Also, the elevator was not working the morning I checked out and i was on the 3rd floor...and the only staircase was on the otherside of the building. our room door did not fully close when opened, i had to push it closed to ensure it locked when i left the room. Hot tub: the hot tub was very relaxing in the morning and evening, but even though the signs all around the pool/ hot tub indicated NO children under the age of 16, and NO unsupervised children, there were several very young kids playing in the hot tub unsupervised. The pool area is just down the hall from the main desk with large bay windows looking in from the hallway, but no staff member ever came by to ensure the rules were being followed. DO NOT leave your wallet or other valuables in plain sight when you are not in the room. Hide or lock easily pilferable items. March 28, 2013

The first time we stayed, the access to the property was a bit strange, but not a big deal at all. The staff has been very friendly and helpful when needed. The staff is always busy cleaning or touching up things in and around the hotel. We (Family) use the pool, hot tub, and exercise room everytime with no issues what so ever. March 13, 2013

The staff was friendly, breakfast was good, hotel was nice (maybe a little older), and we were comfortable and able to get a good night sleep. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Experience Seems that the manager corrected most of the problems that previous guests had. Our two rooms were clean and neat. Our beds were fine, no sags. The bathrooms were clean, the towels and face cloths were clean and in good shape, bars of soap were new and wrapped. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool and the exercise room. We met a really nice local family who books the hotel periodically so their children and grandchildren can enjoy the pool. There was a choice of two different Sunday papers in the breakfast room. The self serve breakfast was the same good breakfast that I have experienced in other Holiday Inns. There was a large selection and the attendant kept up nicely. However, the orange juice dispenser was out of order. They served sausage and scrambled eggs but no bacon and no omelets. The ice machine on our second floor was also out of order. March 4, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad facilities and subpar service The staff was either borderline rude or did not know the facilities rules/policies. The 'gym' equipment did not work properly. The bed had a huge sag in the middle. My check in documents were not ready when I arrived, nor were the check out documents available when I left. The WiFi password was changed daily, which I commend, but no mention of this fact made upon check in, which meant I had to go back out to the desk each day to get a new code. When I encountered a problem with the vending machine the clerk at the desk was frankly rude in her response and had to call the manager for permission to refund my $2. I have never had a worse experience at an IHG property. February 15, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Steady decline Stayed here in Dec. 2012, Everything seemed fine enough untill I could only find vending & ice on the 1st floor. Room was fair/avererage. This time the only functioning vending was on the 3rd floor. I had to wander all the halls, finding each vending room blocked w/ yellow caution tape which also blocked the two entrances to the breakfast room. Finally the desk clerk had to direct me to the 3rd floor foor ice machine. The beds had broken down springs where everyone lays. No turning the mattress here. All the soap bars appeared to be unused, but were not in any type of wrapper. Never have seen this before! Bottom line... the place is going down fast! I'll have to stay elsewhere. February 10, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never stay again I am a platinum member and have never had a stay as bad as here. No recognition at check in other than "we have your membership on file." Bed was hard, ottoman had a hole in it ( looked like from a cigarette), the housekeeper replace the thin towels but did not fold all of them, some were just thrown on the rack. No newspaper delivery, found them in the breakfast room. No express checkout, I had to go the counter to get an invoice for my stay and that took about ten minutes of standing around. The breakfast was about the only thing this hotel has in common with other Holiday Inns. January 18, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday inn I have stayed at I have been a Priority club platinum member since 2008 and have stayed at over 50 different holiday inns all over the west. this was the worst one I have stayed at. the rooms were below average, the towels and wash clothes were dingy, stained and even torn. they had holes in them. the staff was very friendly. the place was just not very clean. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Won't stay here again! I have stayed at this property six times in the last year for work and will not be staying there in the future.This property is dark and dirty. Housekeeping changed towels and did nothing else during my last 4 night stay. There were plumbing issues on one stay and I had to argue with clerk to get a different room even though there was not a maintenance person available to fix the problem. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very Poor Value Grant it, I stayed here at the same time as the Albuquerque Balloon Fest, but most hotels in this price range include room turn-down, chocolate mints on my pillows and a few room amenities. While the front desk staff were competent, friendly and helpful, there was no refrigerator for my meds and no microwave. The room was clean enough, but so very small. This was not a good value at all, but circumstances dictated that I stay here. Be sure you shop around for better prices. October 11, 2012
