Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet Stay Our route took us through the Birmingham area. We chose to stay at the HI Express in Inverness based upon our prior stay. We were not disappointed. Staff were great and rooms were clean. Tiles/flooring need updating in elevators and bathrooms, but a very quiet stay off the busy US 280 highway. Will definitely stay here again. September 29, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Budha Had staff enter my room 4 different times. Neighbor got up at five am and it sounded like they were in my room. Water on, water off. Terrible sound limitation from other rooms. No breakfast ready at 630am other than fruit. I actually helped open the trays of food. Apparently someone called in or didn't show. September 21, 2015

This hotel is in a great location for restaurants and access to hospitals. Good clean beds, hot water, and a super cup of coffee can't be beat. September 20, 2015

We liked the quietness of the location along with still being close to places to walk to in order to get a great meal. The STAFF did everything in their power to make sure we had an enjoyable experience, starting with Shane, Jackie and Juanita. Jackie went above and beyond on fulfilling our requests one evening, and did it with a smile!! Jackie, thank you!! I know by talking to the staff that if comes from the top down, beginning with Shane in the leadership role. Thank you too brother!!! September 19, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly service - hotel starting to show age People in this hotel were very kind. I was a few minutes late for breakfast and one gentleman had the breakfast crew hold off removing the items so that I could have some breakfast. This isn't something I've experienced often. The front desk staff always greeted me when I came through the front doors even though I wasn't going to stop at the desk. Nice touch there as well. The hotel is showing some age though - the elevators were a bit too warm, and the door handles have problems. Some work when pressing down when the green light comes on, others you have to lift up. This is pretty raggedy for a major chain hotel and should be fixed, because it doesn't match the level of service the employees provide. September 8, 2015
