The duty managers are so enthusiastic and keen to please. Simple things like opening doors for you, checking you can find everything you need in the area and genuine service with a smile. Rooms are clean and stylishly decorated and finished. Food is perfectly adequate, especiallly if you like croissants. It has its own carpark with plenty of room, which is something hard to find in any hotel in Birmingham, although the spaces are tight, so good parking skills are helpful! Overall - amazing value and comfort.

Stayed here when visiting NEC - good location. Rooms spotless and very clean. Bathroom very nice with a good shower. Would recommend and would use again

Stayed here for a course at the Heartlands Hospital. Hotel not in the nicest of locations but very convenient for the hospital (<5 min drive).
Extremely nice once inside. Obviously very new but still maintained well with good bathroom and room layout. Friendly staff and helpful. Safe and secure parking. Breakfast not amazing (maybe best to skip the hot food and spend more on the continental selection)
Would stay again if needed to.

Great location, easy access to both Birmingham city Centre, NEC and aiport along with motorway network.
Nice comfortable rooms, free wi fi and inclusive breakfast. Friendly staff.

I was impressed by the friendly staff. Room was very clean and I had a fantastic shower. The bed was very comfortable. I was disappointed by the cooked breakfast. I'd have like more choice rather than just the three on offer. Overall I was impressed by this hotel & the friendly staff. The car parking spaces are on the small size.

We found the room to be very clean and very sparkling, almost new. A large comfortable bed, nice bathroom with great shower. Very quiet considering it's on a busy road. Would stay again.

The Holiday Inn Express was a warm comfortable stop in wintry conditions. The menu for an evening meal was somewhat limited so we went out in the snow but only to a local Indian. Very comfortable nights stay with a free breakfast which included sausage and scrambled eggs. The covered garage meant the car needed no windscreen clearing in the morning and was free as well

We stayed here during a recent short break to the Christmas Market in Birmingham. The hotel is a taxi ride from the city centre which costs approximately £12. The building is new and very well presented/designed. The rooms were very clean and well laid out with all amenities available including freeview tv. The breakfast was buffet style with a choice of hot/cold food. Staff were friendly and efficient. We would definitely visit again

Delighted to find we were up on the top floor at the back of the hotel with great views - and it was really quiet.
The room was stylishly smart with comfortable beds.
Welcoming staff.

Our room was modern, comfortable but above all spotless. Staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was tasty even though not a great choice. Bar food was excellent but limited. Parking on site an added bonus. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Staff failed to recognise that I was a Priority Club member and as a result tried to overcharge me for the car parking. The website states that there is a restaurant, but this doesn't operate on Fridays or Sundays. As the hotel is situated in a semi-industrial area there is little choice of alternative places to eat and we were reduced to ordering a takeaway which took over an hour to arrive. I'd have to be desperate to use this again.

Booked through Exhibition Centre web page, good move. Very clean hotel, no bathroom mould!! Fantastic size shower. Only down side , hotel on main road, so ask for room at the back if light sleeper. Bed comfortable. Breakfast, small choice but good and hot. Staff welcoming and helpful.

We booked this hotel as the chain has a good reputation and it was in close proximity to the venue we were visiting the following day. As we arrived early in the afternoon our room was not ready but Daniel who was on duty at reception attempted to contact housekeeping to hurry this along. We decided to visit the shops in Birmingham and Daniel provided us with valuable information regarding travel into the centre. He also advised us where we could eat that evening. The Balti restaurant nearby gave excellent service and the food was delicious.
The staff behind the bar were also very friendly and helpful.
The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. The shower was amazing. Unfortunately we were situated near the door from the corridor and we were aware of people going backwards and forwards once we had gone to bed but this did not last late into the night (well not that we were aware anyway).

stayed in this hotel when 3 rooms were booked for us under that persons name for 3 nights for our company event at the NEC.
On the first evening (Thursday) we waited nearly and hour after ordering our 3 meals despite being the only ones in the resurant.
We returned from our event on the Friday evening to discover a hotel resturaunt that doesn't serve evening meals on Fridays and Sundays. Very little else locally so we finished up at KFC.
We came down to breakfast on Saturday morning to discover hot breakfast is only served after 7.30. We needed to be out by that time so had to make do with toast on Saturday and Sunday.
As we were very tired from long days we decided to eat in the hotel again on Saturday evening. There was only us 3 and another couple there. My two colleagues both ordered side dishes with their meals which only arrived when we had almost finished eating. When this was commented on the barman/waiter simply laughed and walked off.
Altogether not a pleasant experience and I wont stay again in this hotel.
I would add that that the person who booked the rooms for us was not staying with us so has no implications in my personal comments and feelings of those of us who did stay.

I can honestly say that I was absolutely delighted with my stay here. I can't find any reason to make an adverse comment. My stay was all I could wish for and more! The rooms were very comfortable and I enjoyed the best sleep I've had in years. They were warm, comfortable and were equipped with the comforts I would have expected in a much dearer hotel. The cleanliness.was second to none, the shower room was exceptionally clean, not a watermark in sight. Although my room faced the main road, I barely heard it! Breakfast offered a good choice if I woke up in time. The staff couldn't do enough to please, very professional, yet very warm and friendly, in a word excellent. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for value for money with no loss of service. I couldn't have chosen any better for my stay, and look forward to going back there next time there's a craft show at the N.E.C.

A concert at LG Arena-stay close but do not pay extravagant airport prices?
Holiday Inn Express fitted the bill perfectly. Welcoming, clean, safe close to the airport and friendly staff.
Breakfast next morning was good, could do with more sausages but with my waist line do I need more?
Have already recommended it to my friends and will use it again

Good, comfortable stay. Directions seemed poor - got thoroughly lost and ended up using satnav on phone instead (at great cost to phone battery!!) Adored the double-width shower. On a busy road, so some noise at night.

The hotel itself, it's staff, its cleanliness and value for money are very good. However, avoid room 510 like the plague. It is situated below the fans and exhaust vent for the conditioning and heating systems located on the roof and the noise and constant fan resonance throughout the night means that unless you are unconscious, you will most likely not get a wink of sleep
I had asked for a quiet room and therefore assume that the staff were totally unaware of the noise problem.
