Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value for money with expensive parking if not booked pre-hand We had a good experience over all. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I though parking was bit expensive if not booked pre-hand but i guess it is expected being in the city. Breakfast had good options but i except for scrambled eggs, not sure why May 11, 2013

Overall pleased with stay, overpriced compared to other hotels in the area and as we make several short stays, will probably sacrifice quality for price most of the time. April 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best value hotel I've ever stayed in Excellent service and value for money. Very nice spotlessly clean room with a large comfortable bed, top quality shower room and air conditioning/ heating. Good choice of TV channels and films and a great location easy to get to the arenas, O2 academy and the bullring by foot or by taxi. The only negative point was the free breakfast. The coffee, tea and fruit juices were all lovely, and a good choice of the usual cereals found in hotels along with fresh fruit, good quality pastries and fresh warm toast with a selection of spreads, jams and honey. This par was obviously excellent so I really don't understand why the cooked breakfast was inconsistently poor. Cheap tasting sausages, baked beans and absolutely vile, unseasoned runny scrambled eggs that tasted of nothing. No bacon, mushroom, tomatoes, has browns etc. I suppose you can't complain too much as its free but it was very surprising seeing as everything else to do with the hotel was so good. Overall the hotel was excellent and I look forward to staying again on my next visit to birmingham April 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value and comfortable stay Good location for visiting Birmingham with easy parking. Hotel was very clean and comfortable, reception staff extremely helpful and friendly. Bar prices were reasonable and the food available late at night when we got back from the gig was very welcome. We didn't realise until we got there that the bargain price we paid included breakfast as well. Lots of choice at breakfast, fresh hot food replenished frequently. We could have had vegetarian sausages on request if we had wanted and the croissants were good. We will go back when we visit Birmingham again. April 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by excellent service we arrived at 2 30 am and were only staying a few hours but the staff were bright, cheerful and very careful we had all we required. i stated we needed a cab to the bus station in 4 hours. The gentleman on reception stated he would book it straight away. When we came down at back of six , expecting to get a cup of tea/coffee and some cereal we found full breakfast hot and very tasteful. thanking all those concerned April 25, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet, comfortable and convenient I stayed here as I was at a conference in Birmingham - it was close to all the emenities I needed and very comfortable,. The staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast was the same as all other HIExpress except the eggs were rather granular and unappetising however there was enough other food so no worries! I did fiond an old smelly sock under my bed when packing to leave so housekeeping needs a bit more delving tto retrieve left property - otherwise it was clean!! April 24, 2013
