Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NEVER AGAIN! We have stayed at the Bishop Holiday Inn Express several times, but this last time was horrible and we will never return. My husband is a military retiree and served for 37 years. When I made our online reservations, I chose the government rate because it simply stated Govt. ID required, which we have, and which we have used in the past for this hotel. But when we arrived we were told that we had to be on official government business to get that rate, even though we had the reservations in our hand. We got quite the run around and were told that since a forest fire just started and the hotel was full, they could charge more. After going round and round, the manager finally adjusted the rate to what we thought we were getting online, but not without her telling us that she was going to blacklist us on her computer to make sure that they never give us a military discount in the future. It was the worst customer service we have ever received at a hotel and since we were loyal guests, we couldn't believe it. We won't be back! March 30, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of attention to detail by housekeeping I continue to be critical of their housekeeping staff. The housekeepers just lack attention to detail. Two examples from this stay; 1) they fail to replace pens and note pads when needed. I took a pen with me one day but when I returned to the room it was not replaced. I used the notepads and they did not replace them. 2) the facial tissue ran out, I took the time and effort to remove the empty box from the under-counter holder because I was not confident that housekeeping would be alert enough to notice it was empty. They replaced the tissues but, as further evidence of their lack of attention to detail, they only shoved the bad into the under-counter holder and did not start the tissues out of the box. It is an easy thing to do (start the tissues) when the box is not in the holder but rather difficult when it is merely put in the holder. Not only was it difficult to pinch my fingers into the little slot to get to the tissues, it was also wasteful. Because of the difficulty in accessing the tissues several came out on the first pull. A waste of tissues. The housekeeping staff is not friendly when encountered in the halls. Even when I say hello they generally just stare ahead and do not acknowledge the greeting. The housekeeping staff gives me the impression they would rather be doing something else. It is a shame because the remainder of the staff is so completely friendly and accommodating. March 25, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I slept good Room was good, no real issues, had a good nights sleep. Internet is fine, but too slow for my taste. Used the hotel for my laptop, and cellular internet for tablet and netflix. Bring a small power strip if you have lots of electronics to charge overnight. March 3, 2015
