We typically stay one night twice a year at the Holiday Inn Express in Bishop; on our way from So Cal to Washington State and then back. We choose to stay at this hotel because it is pet friendly as we travel with our small dog and the hotel is very convenient to a park with a dog area. We also like that it is close to restaurants. The room is comfortable although feels a bit small. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is great. The morning breakfast is very satisfactory and the staff always friendly and courteous. It would be nice to have a handicap parking space available at the back of the hotel.

It is sad that this facility is so old, tired and out of date, because the staff is wonderful. They try very hard to make your stay a good one, but nothing can make up for the old stained carpets, marked furniture, thin sheets.
The breakfast was as expected, staff kept the food full and area clean. The outside grounds show care as flowers are planted, roses in bloom.
It is just not possible to overcome the facility. IGH needs to sell this site. Price is high as demand fills rooms most nights. Not much motivation to improve.
Even as a platinum member I will not return. Sorry.

On a recent stay to the Bishop Holiday Inn Express, I was looking forward to a great room in a clean quiet hotel as I had received in the past.
What a disappointment. Laundry facilities were FILTHY beyond belief, Stairway carpets OLD and filthy. Definitely need to be replaced. Room was so, so but not nearly what the East Coast Holiday Inns are like. I think if I ever need a Holiday Inn Express, it will be on the East Coast only. Bishop was not maintained.

This is the 3rd year in a row and 4th overall I have picked this HIE to stay. Everyone is always very welcoming and rooms are quite and I always have a good nights sleep. I use this HIE when I do an M/C trip from Vegas. Thanks again for the great accommodations. Many places to eat within an easy walking distance.

It was extremely disappointing to be billed $150 more than the last stay which was one day less. The explanation was they were full so rates go up.

When I checked in, my IHG rewards was not logged in yet, so I gave the front desk clerk my number. She promptly logged it in and found my account. I asked if she was going to offer me points in lieu of "goody bag." She said I was member without status. I said I was at the gold level last time I looked. Not according to what she was looking at. When I got to my room, I got online, checked my account status, and sure enough my level is gold. This is not the first time this has happened at HIX. This needs fixing, and how about those points?

Reasonable price, great staff, clean rooms, nice pool and hot tub...we stay here every time we go through Bishop.

We have stayed here numerous of times each time was very clean, front desk was very helpful, overall we just love staying here every time we're on our way to Reno
