Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Bloomington, IN. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions to local eateries and events. The hotel was beautifully decorated, the room was large and very clean. I enjoyed the jetted tub in the room to relax at night. The bed was more comfortable then my bed at home. Overall I was very pleased with my stay at the Holiday Inn Express and will stay with them again in the future. July 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff, Great Hotel, A Hotel had turkey sausage along with the real breakfast complete with pancakes. Most hotels aren't accommodating to people who do not eat pork. They also made sure we had fresh towels and the cleaning staff left little notes with their names on them. The stay was very nice and relaxing. July 9, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Can't Complain Me and my family stayed in this hotel this past weekend. Even though the hotel was packed to capacity because of a track event, the staff was courteous and gracious. They helped with all that was needed and made changes as needed. To my surprise they had a Managers reception which was PERFECT! because we had just got off the road and I just wanted to relax, the kids of course wanted to eat so that was just perfect. The hotel was not expecting such a large crowd so they had to improvise to accommodate everyone. Even though, they changed the menu it was enough to go around. Beer/wine included. In the room, the room itself was a bit chilly, but that's expected in hotels. The bed are so super comfy! the pillows were just as comfortable. To my surprise there was a fridge and microwave in the room, I was not expecting that so that was great. Usually at hotels when there are large parties, such as the track clubs that was there, the hotels try to keep them at bay, but surprisingly enough the hotel was accommodating to them as well and I really liked that. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in all year thus far. Everyone was gracious including the guests. The only things that I did not like was when you turned down the air in the room you could smell the staleness of the room. And the curtains are not dark enough to shield out the sun in the morning. They don't have heavy curtains that you can close like most hotels, just white curtains that accent the room. But it really didn't matter because I got up early anyway, but if I had to sleep in, that would be a bother. Great hotel and staff! July 1, 2014

Kelly checked me in and after I asked to confirm that my IHG points would be applied she welcomed me as a Priorty member. My main gripe was with the parking situation. The hotel has no where near enough parking spaces. many people were parked on the curb or across the street in closed restaurant parking lots. I had to park 2 blocks away at another hotel. I didnt feel secure leaving my car that far away but didn't really have a choice. June 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jThe Most Comfortable Hotel Experience in a Decade We were a little apprehensive staying here because my previous experience with Holiday Inn was poor. This location is beautiful everywhere. The rooms spacious, comfortable, and clean. The bathroom was also spacious and gorgeously decorated. The pool area is exquisite and the water was a wonderful temperature. Front desk is friendly as is the staff at the pool and the breakfast. We were really impressed with front desk staffers Courtney and Rachel who got us situated, gave us directions, and provided a friendly smile when we were confused. We also talked to Terry the maintenance man and his helper and enjoyed our experience with them. Breakfast used real dishes and coffee mugs :-). It also had a pancake machine that I never experienced before. The Great Room was also very comfortable for watching TV, reading, chatting with friends/associates. This is just plain a good hotel. One that I want to visit again. Oh! and there are good restaurants just across the street. We really like that. June 20, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable, clean, and the service staff were outstanding Overall, my experience at Holiday InnExpress and Suites in Bloomington, Indiana was terrific. I appreciated the clean rooms and nightly hosted dinners. These were not extravagent over the top meals: They were simple, but delicious, and meant that after a long day I did not have to get back in the vehicle, in a town that is unfamiliar to me, and try to find food. The importance of this simple gesture is immeasurable. Thank you Dawn for bringing the idea of it to this hotel, and thank you Sue for doing all the cooking! Great job. June 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like it alot!! I really liked my stay. It was nicely appointed. I was able to relax in my room and enjoy my stay with breakfast the next day. It was so nice to also offer dinner the night before, but I had dinner outside with colleagues. Next time dinner will be on you :-) What a way to be even more cost efficient! I will continue to choose this location whenever I stay in Bloomington. June 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will stay again The suite upgrade is worth it if you plan on doing more than a quick overnighter. We stayed for two nights. It has a very nice lounge area. The breakfast is satisfactory and the staff is nice. We were informed that they had new housekeeping staff. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our Elecent Bloomington Stay This was our first stay at this hotel. However, it will not be our last. We mixed business with pleasure on this trip. We arrived a little early and left a day late. We had an excellent time. The wet area was down for maintenance during our stay, but the Hotel had complimentary breakfast and an evening light dinner. As some else stated the staff was excellent, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff and the hostess for the morning breakfast and the evening meal. We recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Bloomington area. June 14, 2014

They messed up my room, and since the availability was so low at that point, we had to change to something else and ended up paying more. they also charged me for my friends room too instead of just taking her credit card info upon checkout. They told her they couldn't change it. The rooms were fine, everything was fine it was just pain at times and not worth going back. June 11, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrated as a member I stay with this hotel 13-15 days per month. I have problems with my keys working, every time. Nothing like getting to the hotel and I just want to get my things to my room and relax. I have problems with the keys and have to take all my stuff back down stairs to have the keys made again. It is so frustrating. May have to start staying at the Homewood Suites. May 11, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It was OK My stay was OK. I have had better at HIE and I've probably had worse. I did find a couple of ants in my room, and a few hairs in the bathtub which always gross me out. It didn't seem like enough to call the front desk and complain about. Looking back I probably should have let them know about the ants so they could fix the problem in the future. The breakfast was fine. Check in was pretty fast and they had a complimentary dinner available, but I skipped it to get out and try something else. I might stay here again because the location was convenient where I needed to go this time, but I wouldn't stay here if I wanted to be in the heart of Bloomington. April 28, 2014

There are some who don't have a laptop computer and the computer in the business office needs to be updated. Actually, it needs at least two functional computers. I'm hoping they actually read this and do something about it. Also, my room smelled a bit funky only to find out that the last person to use it, before the weekend, left part of a pizza in the fridge--guess housekeeping is to busy to clean everything. So when i told the front office staff, they didn't seem concerned--guess since i took care of it, it was a done deal. I might try the hotel across the street next time. April 20, 2014

Found crums on the floor and signs that the room had not been vaccumed properly. Did not attempt to bring this to anyones attention as I was focused on returning to the Hospital and my Mother. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Only minor issues but otherwise good experience. We have stayed at this hotel at least once in the past. Our room was not ready at check-in time. Sat in the lobby waiting but had to check back with the front desk instead of the desk clerk just telling us the room was ready as we were sitting right there. Had to wait approximately 40 minutes +/-. The fold out bed was horrible but wasn't expecting it to be particularly comfortable anyway. I would rather have slept on an army cot in the middle of the desert than on that fold out couch....The other beds in the room were just fine. The room was clean and everything worked. The fitness room, while very well equipped had no guest towels nor drinking cups to go with the water dispenser. The TV remote did not work in the fitness room. April 9, 2014
