We were told by their customer service we could get an early check in at noon. We showed up at the hotel and only received 1 of our 4 rooms and where told that the others would be done in a couple hours. At 5:30 we finally received our last room. They told us they were short staffed, understandable if I wouldn't have been standing there and watched them give a clean room to someone that just walked in off of the street. Very poor management of getting rooms cleaned for guests that had reservations. In trying to discuss this with the staff they were very unresponsive and weren’t sorry at all for inconvenience they were causing us. When we got to the room we found empty bottles and candy wrappers under the bed. There was also poor management around getting routine maintenance done. The maintenance staff came into our rooms around 7 PM to change air filters, really they couldn't do this when the rooms where being cleaned? Breakfast the next morning was alright except their cinnamon rolls were cold and we had to take them back to the room to microwave them. I travel a lot and this by far was the worst stay I have had a Holiday Inn.

Relatively dated reception and check in area for price. Could use signage directing traffic from elevators to Reception.

I was on a late flight back from California. I was tired and needed rest before driving up to Duluth. Amanda was very helpful, knew I was tired and made sure I got set up in my room quickly!!
