When staying in Blowing Rock , you won't beat the Holiday Inn Express for value and comfort. The breakfast, the clean rooms,
pool, exercise room, lobby, all make for a return trip to this Holiday
Inn Express. I and my wife both rate these guys highly for the job they do to make your stay a True Holiday.

Brown water is what we faced every time we ran the water...We were told let it run for 30 minutes and then it will be OK.... It wasn't...It is difficult to want to brush your teeth and take a shower when you turn on the water and it is brown...
Plus...why is there never chocolate milk for breakfast....it is the
same price and parents with children would appreciate it and evern us big kids...
Other than that .....everything else was great......

We came to Blowing Rock to ski and your hotel is a very short, easy ride away from the Appalachian Ski Resort. The rooms are very nice, with good amenities. Very comfortable beds!! The hotel 's free breakfast was wonderful wtih a great variety. The front desk personnel were very helpful , accommodating and pleasant. Also, the location was nice and quiet.

This is a great HIE- daytime manager is among the best in the business. Breakfast staff is awesome. Very nice pool and clean rooms.
My only complaint is that they raised the rewards nights from 10K to 20K.

The staff was outstanding. This was my second stay in a two month timeframe, and the folks there were very accomodating. This is the only place that I will stay from now on if I am in the Boone area.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Shocked at how we were handled.
We are platinum members who traveled o Blowing rock for a funeral. We used our points to stay in this hotel as well as another family with us bought and paid for their room. We were supposed to check out Thursday however the funeral was not going to take place until Friday due to the son of the deceased birthday happend to fall on that Thursday so services were moved to Friday. When we went to front desk to ask for an extra day we were told all points rooms were taken ( mind you no one was in the hotel) and that skiers were coming up the mountain for their reservations and we would have to leave. We had to leave even with our one paying customer. And if any of you are platinum members you will know that we have spent a lot of money earning all those points to even be able to stay free for the week. This hotel did not try and accommodate us or bend their rules to accommodate instead they kicked us out with not even an apology. We drove down to Boone where their was another holiday inn express that took us in immediately with our point! And our one paying customer and treated us well. They even let us check out late due to the services not being held until 2pm. I don't recommend the holiday inn express in lowing rock whatsoever. We even went back up to see how full their hotel had become due to the snow storm and just as I said before their hotel held maybe 5 cars even that night. Shame on you Holiday Inn Express of blowing rock NC. PS. We also had many problems with bathtub filling with water when showering as well as the paying customer of ours toilet overflowed onto the floor. Many bathroom issues at this hotel!

Holiday Inn staff was always friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was great. Our teenage kids enjoyed the heated pool and hotel lounge area.

A best-choice for great lodging in Blowing Rock or Boone. Nice property, great rooms, excellent service staff. All around, one of the better sites in the HI suites group, and a location that I expect to continue to use on future trips into that area.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blowing Rock Holiday Inn. It was a very comfortable inn. Everything was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed being able to play cards in the dining area that evening. Breakfast was great. The staff were very accomodating and friendly.
It was an excellent experience and we will recommend it and certainly return.

I traveled recently with my 85-year-old mother who has to use a walker. This hotel was able to accomodate her needs by having a room available with a wheel-in shower and a built in shower seat. The shower also had a very nice, hand-held, adjustable shower head. The breakfast was very good--we especially enjoyed the cinnamon rolls. A few complaints would be that the room was quite small and only had a king-sized bed so that I had to sleep on a fairly uncomfortable pull-out sofa sleeper. Secondly, finding this hotel at night was very difficult. We had to make 3 u-turns! A couple that came in just after us also had a difficult time finding the entrance. A better sign would be much appreciated. Other than that a nice hotel for the money.

Road construction in the area made it tricky in the morning. Busy time of year for the parkway. Nice room, friendly staff. The front desk lady was even trying to help someone find an alternative hotel because they were full. Reserve if your traveling during the parkway busy season. Easy on and off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express locations. This one is not the better. And for one particular reason. The bathrooms were not adequate. The exhaust fan, if any, were useless. It neither removed any steam or odors.
Thee was a lot of noise from adjoining bathhrooms.
The rest of the room was great. Service was great as we expected of H I Ex.
We will dontinue to stay in Holiday Inn Express, but probably not this one again.

We stayed at this hotel during a particularly busy weekend in October 2012 when fall colors were at their peak. Despite it being busy, the front desk staff were courteous and greeted us warmly upon arrival. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Also, our room had a modern aura around it as if it had just been remodeled. Breakfast was good - however the breakfast area is small and tends to get crowded. Overall, were were more than satisfied with our stay. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it. Finally, we would like to recognize Tamara at the front desk who made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
PS: We also bought tickets to Grandfather Mountain at the front desk at a discount and this helped us avoid long lines when we arrived at the mountain the next day. I would advise guests visiting the mountain to purchase their tickets at the front desk. Saves time and money!
