Front desk person was not friendly. Sitting in the back room texting when customers were waiting at the counter.

The only bright spot of my stay was the guy who worked the front desk. He was the man and imo should be working at a better hotel.
For the price, this hotel is not worth it at all. Don't let the amenities fool you, they may as well not even have them. The pool is too chlorinated, the breakfast gave me heartburn for a week and they reuse the same coffee until it runs out.
The rooms are completely filthy and after speaking with some of the other guests it seems they are all like that. The bathroom had a thick layer of grime in the toilet and bathtub.
The internet was incredibly slow and basically unusable even to check my emails.
They were doing construction while I was there so I was woken up at a very early hour, so they clearly have no respect and don't even think about their customers at this place.
So if you like staying at hotels where the rooms are filthy, the breakfast is inedible, the internet is free but incredibly slow and there will most likely be some sort of construction waking you up at an ungodly hour, the holiday inn express in bluffton is perfect for you. The front desk guy is great though, very friendly and was a bright spot on an otherwise scarring experience. thank you for your time... Let me respond for you guys and save you some time since this will clearly be your response or something along these lines:
"Thank you for your feedback and for choosing our hotel. We strive to provide the best possible service and experience and it is always great to hear from our guests on how we are doing. We apologize for falling short of your expectations with the room cleanliness. Your review will be used to consider improvements needed and we hope that you can give us a chance to show what we have done."

The only problem I had with the hotel, and mentioned this to the staff upon departure, is that the room was not as tidy as it would have liked. The hotel is under construction and there was a level of dust and flakes of wood on the dressers and in the bed. I swept out the bed due to the late hour and reported it in the morning. For the price of the room I would have hoped for a little bit better and cleaner room.

People at the desk very nice and friendly.Seemed to care about us and motel.
Elevator broke down. We were on the 2nd floor. My wife can not go up and down steps, and I can verily.People at desk said the elevator would be down 24 hours. I told them the problem and because my wife would be stuck up in the room, they said they would bring our luggage down for us , and help us down in the morning. They had it fixed by morning.
There was a family reunion the first might we stayed. They had lots and lots of children. They were diving in the swimming pool , and hot tub trying to see how much water they could splash out of the pool. A person could not swim for them. We found out the next day after we sat in a cold hot tub the familys had urinated do much in the swimming pool and hot tub they were going to have to drain and scrub out both. We just loved swimming in other peoples went to the tolet. With aids and others things one can catch. So all in all the 2 nights we stayed were not worth the money.
In the past we have stayed in Bluffton and liked it very much. But after this it will be a long time till we stay at a Holiday Inn again.

Room was comfortable and clean. Bed comfort well above average and we slept very well. Windows open with screen, which allows fresh air when weather is pleasant. On main drag into/out of town but surrounding area low key and quiet. During our stay there was no bothersome noise from other guests.
Bluffton is a sweet little town with a great dinner option, Billy Ann's. I would stay here again.

My hotel stay was very good. The only problem was with the wireless computer connection. It was a struggle to get connected and when I did get connected it was hard to stay connected.

When I arrived in the lobby the phone was ringing. I counted 9 rings before the evening desk clerk apeared and answer it. The clerk then asked me my name and started to check me in while talking to on the phone to another customer. I was not greated as a Platinum Priority Club member. She completed the check in and gave me the room keys while still on the phone.
The bed was very hard and we did not sleep well. I asked for another room with a better bed. Was told they did not have any. The day clerk went out of her way to find a better bed. We tried several rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a whirlpool tub.
We went out for the day and returned looking foward the the whirlpool tub. Upon filling the tub with water we found that the whirlpool did not work. The next morning I told the clerk about the whirlpool, she said that it has not worked for a long time. I talked with the manger and he said that it did work and I just did not know how to operate it. The manager offered to pay for my stay. I told him I was using my Club points, he daid that he would return them to me.
A month later the points have not been returned and I have writen this review. I will not be staying in this hotel again.

The person in charge yelled and belittled the employees and was very rude at times. He was not a nice person.
