When we arrived we were greeted by the front staff and they were very helpful. This hotel is close to so much and if we had more time would been adventuresome. Would definitely go back again.

We come here every year during the last weekend of April so that we can attend the MerleFest in nearby Wilkesboro. The staff is always helpful and accessible, rooms always clean, and the hotel decor is fresh and modern. We can depend on HIE Boone, and will be back next year, thank you!

Enjoy the stay and will be back. Would prefer to have more healthful breakfast choice - such as more varieties of fruit, whole wheat eng muffins or whole grain bagels, and/ or maybe a mixed fruit bowl. Otherwise, great.

I travel a great deal with business. The Holiday Inn Express in Boone is one of the most comfortable stays I have ever experienced. It started after a long day of travel, the night desk person greeted me with a warm smile and welcoming attitude. During my stay I needed some assistance in the "Business Office", and was quickly assisted.
My room was clean and always very comfortable.
Like the Terminator said, "I'll be back".

Hotel staff and housekeeping staff were awesome! We stayed over a second night because I became very ill. We had told the front desk on the first day that we had no hot water and was told they were working on it. The second day we still did not have hot water.
Checked out on day three and was unable to take a hot shower after being ill.
The hotel was nice and I would stay there again if they have hot water.

My husband and I were driving up the blue ridge parkway for our anniversary and decided to stay in Boone for the night. Very nice place and helpful staff. Will stay again.

This hotel was nice with the exception its located right next to Lowes . We woke up each morning to a leaf blower between 5 and 6 am not a nice wake up call.. The room was nice with a comfortable bed , Sofa was way to old ... over all we did not spend alot of time in the room it was just ok we will stay else where next visit

A mistake was made in a recent reservation. I only needed one night, but reservation was made for 2 nights because that is what the group we were with was booked for. When I checked in, the cashier said I had not been charged for the first night and I had a room for the one night. Now a week later, I have a 2nd night charged to my credit card. Manager was unwilling to waive the charge. BEWARE!!

I really don't ever write bad reviews, but I felt this one was necessary. The beds were without a doubt the worst, lumpiest, most uncomfortable beds I ever slept in (if you call what I got, sleep). The furniture in the room looked and felt like it cam straight out of the Walmart across the street. We had 4 people staying in the room and they only had 3 bath towels in the room...we didn't notice it right away due to our schedules and housekeeping's schedule until the last day when we all were showering up to leave, then there were only 3 towels for 4 people. We will return to Boone, but we will stay elsewhere from now on.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wants to visiting Boone area. The room is quite specious and clean. The location is good and easy to find as well as close to everything.
I requested a quiet room away from traffic, elevator and laundry room when I made my reservation and I did get one room as I requested. Yet, the air condition in guest room and hall way is too loud for my husband to have a good sleep. It didn't bother me though. Will stay again. Looking forward to having more items to choose for breakfast!!

I requested a quiet room when I made my reservation and just what I had in mind was ready for me when I arrived. I never heard a sound during my stay even though the hotel had many guests the first night.
Besides the location, the room was comfortable to be in and seemed much improved since I was last here quite a few years ago. A few minor stains on the carpet but reasonably clean with a fresh feel.
Except for OJ and coffee, I did not sample the breakfast during my stay. The coffee was good but the OJ was nasty.

From the outside the place looked brand new including the lobby. As soon as you get into the room you will find the room 50% remodeled using refabricated chairs old furniture and not to mention the mattress was old I felt the wires!! Oh and too add another to this you got a king mattress add king pillows instead of tiny cotton balls Hahaha! The room was nice looking and remodeled just furniture needed replaced. Location of the property was great in the middle of it all and what's with the goddie bag I didn't get one nor do I know what one is. Wasn't offered but as a platinum member for 15 years I'm going to look into this.

Had not been to Boone in a few years. First time at this location. Got their early at noon, and they still were able to get us a room. We received our priority club goodie bag, Our room was clean, great pillows, nice TV. Room was quiet. Breakfast area is huge, plenty of food to choose from. Rate were great. Snow in the morning. What else could you ask for?

Housekeeping started cleaning other rooms before 8 am. She "propped open" the door of the room next door with the security door latch which caused a large slamming noise every times he entered the room (over 20 times in a short period of time). So I got up and dressed and went downstairs for breakfast and complained. When I returned to my room I put the "quiet please" door hanger on my door and at 9:30 they started vacuuming the hallway!! When I exited my room at 10 they had left the vacuum right in front of my door!! I could have easily tripped over the cord or the vacuum. I could not believe it! All of this was done before checkout time of 11. Please understand, they only had maybe 30 rooms occupied that night. It was not like they had to clean every room in the hotel!!
I will be in Boone often while my son is a student at App State and I will never stay here again!

This facility was wonderful.
As soon as I walked in at 11:30 pm, I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady who knew my first name before I gave it. Nevermind, I was the last person to check in for the day so it wasn't a tough guess - but it was still surprising and nice.
I was thanked for being a Priority Club member and given the nicest bag of goodies I've ever had at a Holiday Inn Express.
The staff was engaging and very kind. I highly recommend this location if you're going to be in Boone!

I stayed here while the family went skiing at Sugar Mountain. The drive to Sugar is approximately 16 miles and was not inconvenient. By staying in Boone we had more choices for restaurants, shopping, movies and access to charming Blowing Rock. The hotel was very clean, modern, with a fireplace in the lounge. The rooms were comfortable with double sinks. Had no problem with wi fi access. It was difficult to regulate the heater. As one other review stated the temperature is 50 or 100 and that is not because the heater was broken. It's the nature of their heater. The breakfast was similar to other hotels that include breakfast. The coffee was not good being too weak. I was there Christmas week so it became very crowded at breakfast with not enough seating. They opened a conference room for overflow but didn't tell anyone they did. I saw the sign on the door as I was leaving.
Overall I was very pleased with the hotel, staff, accommodations, location and would stay there again.

This was our fifth visit. We always feel secure and comfortable. We appreciate the new carpet. The breakfast on Thursday seemed like warmed up leftovers from Wednesday and the orange juice was not Florida's finest. Otherwise, five stars.

There is much to really like about the Boone Holiday Inn express. We have stayed there a number of times. The continuing issue that is causing us to consider other lodging is that the bathrooms have no direct heat source. They are cold and uncomfortable. The radiator heating systems in the room are antiquated compared to other quality lodging options. At the very least, a heat lamp in the bathrooms would helpl

I do think that a property of this quality and price should have exhaust fans in the bathroom. No other comments about my stay.
But our friends(Crabtree) next door never got their phone working after repeated calls to front desk.

Stay was good. Cost was high due to the time of year. Bed was comfortable. Power went out during the night. Breakfast was OK...hot selection very limited but was slightly better than just continental breakfast choices.
