I don't like the way it was booked through a central office or that I was quoted one price and charged another. That had I not double checked that I was booked at this specific location, I would have been in a different hotel. That said, the facility is nice, the staff friendly and I expect to resolve the financial piece of it to my satisfaction. I would recommend this hotel. June 16, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Experience We just came back from my nephew's MIT graduation. This hotel was perfect as it was inexpensive and yet had everything we needed. A free shuttle to the Andrew red line station, free breakfast and within walking distance of Applebee's and Olive Garden. The only problem is finding it as the hotel signs are around a corner and low to the ground. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. June 9, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by bathroom The shower did not drain so I was standing in inches of water. Also, the electrical outlet did not function properly. The lower outlet did not work. The receptionist was great. She listened to my concerns and said she would let the proper people know. I am a member and think anyone else staying there needs to have a positive experience. This room was expensive and everything should function properly. June 8, 2014

Greeted by friendly staff upon arrival and impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and decor in the lobby. Room was clean, comfortable and plenty of room. Utilized the shuttle throughout stay, courteous driver. All in all a great stay and will definitely return. June 4, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cleanliness is next to godliness Great reception staff. Great shuttle bus driver. These guys are gems. The only problem is that they don't tell you about the shuttle bus at check in and so I walked to and from the T-line several times before knowing this service existed. There also could be a definite pick-up time from the T-line to avoid having to call the hotel to arrange a pick up (a problem if you are an international traveler and experiencing a problem with connection). Lighting in carpark very poor - several lights were out of service across my three night stay. This also made the space outside the hotel quite inhospitable for those arriving on foot. It didn't feel safe. The breakfast area was never quite clean - I had to clean down my table myself on all three mornings of my stay and no member of staff offered to intervene. The fact that all cutlery/plates/cups are disposable is also disappointing. This was not a 'cheap' stay and I felt like was at a dirty McDonalds restaurant. June 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Over all good stay Stay at the Holiday Inn Express Boston for a week with my family. Rooms where great, and my kids where happy. We enjoyed breakfast every morning and ordered in every night. Bed was amazingly comfortable, I loved how the housekeeping lady cleaned my room, and also respected my belonging, which was one of my biggest fears, but she was truly great. My only worries was the parking, even though the hotel is situated next to the South bay Mall, parking was very limited, and parking my baby anywhere wasn't an option. Fear of a break-in of my car, since I saw a few kids opening packages from what appeared to from best buy riding there bikes. They got scared when we threatened to call the cops for robbery.. lol Other than PARKING NOT BEING SO GREAT.. and the moll in the ceiling of the bathroom. Hotel was fine. June 1, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel A really nice stay in a nice quiet comfortable room,we were first allocated a room next to an ice m/c, I know it's America and they like ice but why is it compulsory to have it next to a bedroom, and why are we always allocated that room? To date On this trip we have stayed in 4 HIE and in 3 we have been allocated a room next to the ice m/c. Am I becoming paranoid or is it really a conspiracy? Staff have always been pleasant and swopped rooms without fuss. If your driving, your sat nav/gps may have difficulty finding the hotel as ours took us to Boston St, but from Boston St to the Hotel it's a one way street and you have to find your way back and through a large shopping complex car park. It is also a short walk to the subway which will take you into the City Centre. We walked but we we're told that the shuttle bus would drop us off there. May 18, 2014

Maintenance personnel promptly tried to repair but when he couldn't, they switched the AC out with a new one.very prompt response to the problem and it was resolves quickly. High marks to the maintenance personnel. Front desk staff helpful with directions and the shuttle to the subway was an added benefit. We would stay here again. May 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCEPTIONAL STAY IN BOSTON My son and his wife stayed at this hotel - and, what a remarkable visit and Staff! We made the reservation for them...as they had to stay close to the Boston Children's Hospital, as their 4-month old baby daughter had to have unexpected brain surgery. Living far away - across the country - we were so anxious about this stay for them...but,. with our extensive experience with Holiday Inn Express Hotels...we were so hopeful that everything would work out, beautifully - and, it did - in fact, to the point of exceptional care and service for my son, his wife, and, baby daughter when she was released from the surgery to travel back to another state!! We were so amazed at how everyone truly went the extra mile to help this young family...from the lovely accommodations and crib, to the famous Holiday Inn Express breakfast! We are truly grateful and want everyone to know how impressed we are with this hotel and staff! Many thanks, sincerely, for all of your efforts - particularly at this very challenging time for our family! P.S. Our precious little (grand) baby is doing just great - and, recovering very well! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Old and in need of update I'm Priority Club member and was disappointed in this Holiday Inn Express. It is not up to standard and needs an update and renovation. Bathroom in particular is run down and borderline filthy. Yes it located in a downtown location but does not justify the price. Thumbs down on this one. March 24, 2014

Arrived at Boston airport with soposivally complementary shuttle service called to inform hotel we were waiting than waited over and hour finally took a 28$ cab to hotel to find the 2 shuttle busses parked in front of hotel with them inside Talking. Hotel agreed to reinverse the can fair but upon ck out the refund was not applied but instead 5$ a person shuttle service charge back to airport in am The gentlemen that ck us in was obverioisly having a very bad day he took my credit card info than ck us in Once in the room we decided to to eat and since hotel offers local shuttle to places to eat I was informed only of it's booked in advance So I asked for a cab to be called and waited over a half hour in entrance way of hotel to find out that he had never even called us a cab We hailed on down ourself to find out the place we wanted to eat at was behind the hotel building 2 min walk And the guy working at the front desk knew where we wanted to go To say the least the rude behaviour didn't stop here After being ck into hotel over 4 hours and being asleep at 11:30 at night our phone rang in our room to say that out credit card wasn't working Thought it was kinda strange since we had just used the card at the restraunt earlier and we stood waiting for a cab in front of him you would think he would have told me thAn But nope he called and woke us up I than proceeded to say I would make sure it's ok in am He than came up and knocked on my door waking up my child to tell Me I had to come down stairs immediately I was not going to be going anywhere with him at this point So my husband got up and dressed and went down stairs to find that there was nothing at all wrong with my card !!! I'm shocked at the service we wee given !!! I won't be returning to this location and i highly warn anyone else to stay away from here if this guy keeps working at this location March 14, 2014

It was the same breakfast every day for three days and everything that was supposed to be hot was cold. The rest of the hotel was fine. The rooms were clean and fairly comfortable. March 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, very helpful staff Our room did not face the highway and it was plenty quiet to sleep peacefully all night (no fan on). The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Someone earlier complained the Queen beds here were not really the width of a Queen bed, but ours certainly was. The room was much better protected from noise in the hallway and in other rooms than in many other hotels I have stayed in. The staff were extremely helpful, ready with helpful advice and information. On-site parking, which is included, combined with a 5-7 minute walk to the T (there is also a shuttle), make this the ideal headquarters for a visit to B-town. There are also a mall and several restaurants nearby. Breakfast is included! Our room was a little smaller than usual, so it might feel a bit cramped if two people decided to stay in all day due to weather. Get out and enjoy the city! February 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Slept like a log; appreciate customer service I flew in on emergency to visit very ill nephew and needed a place to stay close to Children's Hospital in Boston. This came up and I booked it. I flew in late and also had to go right to the hospital so after calling the hotel and explaining the situation, they knew I wouldn't be checking in until after midnight. After a treacherous taxi ride to the hotel early AM, I was greeted by Steve who first asked how much my taxi was, double checking I wasn't overcharged. He gave me a quiet room. I fell asleep right away. No noise complaints, room was great temp. I didn't move all night. I didn't check the pool/exersize equip, but scanned the breakfast and it all looked great! I would definitely stay there again. Unless you are VERY fussy about your accomondations, there isn't any reason why this hotel would cause negative feelings towards your Boston stay.
