It started when I checked in. I have stayed at many holiday inns. This is the first time I had to sign a document about all the rules of the hotel. Things that I'm not allowed to do. I asked is they ever had problems with rowdy guests before and they said no, but I doubt that since I have never had to sign such a document before and I travel about 40% of the time for work and stay at a lot of hotels. Definitely a first.
After checking in, the room had bugs. Silver fish by the window and some other black bugs. Disgusting.
I called down for extra towels and was told they didn't have any towels to give me but can send me a towel from the pool, which was small and didn't do much. We also asked for a couple extra sheets and was questioned.
The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. My husband and kids also said the same thing. Did not get a good night sleep due to the uncomfortableness of the beds.
Front desk staff was not nice nor helpful.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ever again and will never stay at this hotel again.

When my friend got sick, the staff was very helpful in directing me to the nearest pharmacy and expressed genuine concern for my friend.

My experience in this Holiday Inn Express surprised me. For the price, which was less than competitors, the hotel exceeded my expectations in attractiveness and in the comfort and quality of the room. I was very pleased. I had to wake up very early in the morning before the breakfast room was open, but the front desk attendant made me coffee. She was kind and attentive. I would stay in this hotel the next time I am in the area.
